Heh, no on all counts :) Well, you can use guns but they're just like...kinda like picking up chairs and stuff in wrestling games. Not really important at all (and they don't do much damage).
But nothing else, no rape, no driving over pedestrians, no shootin' up citizens, etc. Not really that kind of game, might I suggest Saints Row 2? That was a pretty cool game where you could just shoot everyone up and stuff.

In the other titles, you could visit hostess clubs and romance the girls there. Get them to 20 hearts and go through their little "date" and the screen goes all pink while you visit a hotel. Not very graphic, but you can date those girls and have sex with them.
Since there are definitely hostess clubs in this title, I'm pretty sure it'll be the same routine.

The story in yakuza3 is silly beyond believe. If they want to build a military base on kiryuu lands then why do none of his neighours get victimised, a military base is huge after all,
Well, for that matter, how come Kiryû can just go around with Haruka? When a little girl's parents die, they don't just usually go "well, whatever" and just let whoever the heck wants to take her in do so.
I understood what they were going for, because Kiryû wanted to give back for his own childhood and all and used the yakuza's connections to get the job down there but it was a bad turn for the story because they didn't have anywhere to go from there.
All you could do was take care of kiddies with their after-school-special problems. I didn't hate the kids or anything, but I kinda wanted to play the game to go mess up some gangsters and street punks, you know?
Oh and as for the story, it's not the base expansion that directly harms Kiryû but the rider to the bill that will build some huge resort. And I think his neighbor mentions it but unbelievably doesn't seem too upset that he'll lose his home or whatever.
I was laughing my ass off for some times on this for a reason since I am one hundred percent that Amon Jou is going to appear in Yakuza 4 as well since he did appear in the main series including the other spin offs. And I also doubt that Amon will be using my deadly skills than in Yakuza 3...

I subbed it myself in Vegas and had to lose some quality so I wouldn't be uploading it for a century and a half. As for the huge, bold subtitles, they were always huge...again because of Vegas, partly. Vegas has a tiny preview window and automatically has titles set to bold and all huge, so I stupidly made them too big (sorry!)

I played it many times before, in full screen, without any problems. The quality was a little better and the subs were big, but still a little bit smaller. Now, when I watch it in full screen, the subs are huge and some letters are hidden on the side. It's probably a YouTube problem.
Ohhh, I see...it's when you switch to full screen?? I bet it's because YouTube usually puts black bars around videos, and I've set it to get rid of those by cropping. Maybe in some recent update they made it ignore the black bars when you go into full-screen. I'll have to play around with it and see....

I think they let you change clothes in Premium Adventure because you can basically do everything except main story scenes. That's fine. I do wish they ha more options, though. Only four outfits?? Oh well, the game is still good. I think of it like Zelda; you don't change Link's clothes really, so, I guess it's the same here.
And translating Kenzan!'s cut scenes will be pretty easy, I think.

i think that when sega made the first yakuza game, they only thought that was going to be the only game of the saga becuase if u complete the game the ending was perfect for ending the story, but the success of the game made then to create the next games, and i really enjoyed to play the next games
Definitely true. The first game had the best story because of its dynamics between "childhood friend" characters. Speaking of dynamic, the first game and Kenzan are the only games where Kiryû shows any sign of evolving as a character during the story. In 3, he just kinda stays the same the whole time. Same with 2—it's mostly about Sayama.
None of the stories are bad, though. #3's wasn't great—just very generic, but still not *so* horrible. I'm sure this game's story will be great

Yakuza 3 was released in Japan almost a year ago. There's some 13 months between games, which is kinda standard for this series. They make them so quickly!
So my guess is if it comes to the U.S. it'll be like...another year. Subbed or dubbed? Can't say yet, but probably subbed.

I know, it's really bad because that song is way better than that crappy Butterfly City "chorus rap" nonsense. Really awful song, sounds like the "pep squad" at a high school football rally or something.
But nobody knows. I'm assuming it's in-house, then. If I remember correctly, the first game's main theme was written by the guy who does the BGM for the series, performed by some weird musicians "Makotch, Yuri & TOMICA." I guess those are in-house studio musicians?

Heh, no on all counts :) Well, you can use guns but they're just like...kinda like picking up chairs and stuff in wrestling games. Not really important at all (and they don't do much damage).
But nothing else, no rape, no driving over pedestrians, no shootin' up citizens, etc. Not really that kind of game, might I suggest Saints Row 2? That was a pretty cool game where you could just shoot everyone up and stuff.

In the other titles, you could visit hostess clubs and romance the girls there. Get them to 20 hearts and go through their little "date" and the screen goes all pink while you visit a hotel. Not very graphic, but you can date those girls and have sex with them.
Since there are definitely hostess clubs in this title, I'm pretty sure it'll be the same routine.

How does a ex yakuza leader who spent 10 years in prison get to run an orphanage in the first place. You'd think child welfare and social services might have something to say about the matter.
The story in yakuza3 is silly beyond believe. If they want to build a military base on kiryuu lands then why do none of his neighours get victimised, a military base is huge after all,

Well, for that matter, how come Kiryû can just go around with Haruka? When a little girl's parents die, they don't just usually go "well, whatever" and just let whoever the heck wants to take her in do so.
I understood what they were going for, because Kiryû wanted to give back for his own childhood and all and used the yakuza's connections to get the job down there but it was a bad turn for the story because they didn't have anywhere to go from there.

All you could do was take care of kiddies with their after-school-special problems. I didn't hate the kids or anything, but I kinda wanted to play the game to go mess up some gangsters and street punks, you know?
Oh and as for the story, it's not the base expansion that directly harms Kiryû but the rider to the bill that will build some huge resort. And I think his neighbor mentions it but unbelievably doesn't seem too upset that he'll lose his home or whatever.

I subbed it myself in Vegas and had to lose some quality so I wouldn't be uploading it for a century and a half. As for the huge, bold subtitles, they were always huge...again because of Vegas, partly. Vegas has a tiny preview window and automatically has titles set to bold and all huge, so I stupidly made them too big (sorry!)

I know the quality is reduced compared to the original, non-subbed version, but I was talking about this video, your video. I've known about this video since you posted it. I played it many times before, in full screen, without any problems. The quality was a little better and the subs were big, but still a little bit smaller. Now, when I watch it in full screen, the subs are huge and some letters are hidden on the side. It's probably a YouTube problem.

Ohhh, I see...it's when you switch to full screen?? I bet it's because YouTube usually puts black bars around videos, and I've set it to get rid of those by cropping. Maybe in some recent update they made it ignore the black bars when you go into full-screen. I'll have to play around with it and see....

Yes; you play as 4 different characters (basically, Kiryû plus the first three dudes introduced in this video).
The gameplay vid is in my favorites somewhere, if anyone's looking for it. Seems the three new dudes will each bring a different specialty to their gameplay (of course).

1) Yes, I speak Japanese (I'm from Los Angeles, USA tho'!) I have a degree in the Japanese language from my university days and I've worked for a Japanese company and such.
2) What, putting a tuxedo on for like 1 second in the first game wasn't enough? ;) No, no. You can change his clothes in the "Premium Adventure" Mode in #3, actually, but I think there are only 4 outfits. Not a very big deal.
3) Probably! Once I'm done with the video walkthrough for it.

Hm, I wish I could learn somehow Japanese language (I'm from Croatia, and still in high-school, lol) because I'm really interested in anything about Japan, cars mostly :D.
It would be good if you (Kiryu) could change clothes like on GTA4. A little change isn't so bad, hm.

I think they let you change clothes in Premium Adventure because you can basically do everything except main story scenes. That's fine. I do wish they ha more options, though. Only four outfits?? Oh well, the game is still good. I think of it like Zelda; you don't change Link's clothes really, so, I guess it's the same here.
And translating Kenzan!'s cut scenes will be pretty easy, I think.

i think that when sega made the first yakuza game, they only thought that was going to be the only game of the saga becuase if u complete the game the ending was perfect for ending the story, but the success of the game made then to create the next games, and i really enjoyed to play the next games

Definitely true. The first game had the best story because of its dynamics between "childhood friend" characters. Speaking of dynamic, the first game and Kenzan are the only games where Kiryû shows any sign of evolving as a character during the story. In 3, he just kinda stays the same the whole time. Same with 2—it's mostly about Sayama.
None of the stories are bad, though. #3's wasn't great—just very generic, but still not *so* horrible. I'm sure this game's story will be great
