more than likely the roo was injured by a car. It's impossible to to care for the roo after a trauma. even if the broken bones could be mended (highly unlikely), the roo would die of shock from the road accident some time later. The police carry out these task each day and should be commended for easing the pain suffered by the animal.

firstly-yes Roo's are pests. secondly-the way the "matter'" was dealt with, was not the only option. you could called in some type of animal control.
