  • At what age will it be safe to start this? I have a bullmastiff x cane corso female, she is 8 months old and has a lot of drive and loves to play tug of war as long as where inside the house but outside she gets distracted, but is 8 months to young to be doing this?

  • hi we bought a dog from you 2 years June, just wanted to let you know that we had to put him down today, he was diagnosed with congenital heart disease and the vet suggested we let you know, this was a very very sad day for us and the kids. our baby puppy Rocco, is gone , at least he is not in pain anymore. can you please respond thanks Betty in Hamilton, ON

  • that right there is a true working type cane corso! he has a lot of energy for an 8 year old large breed. Is he still the same way now a days?

  • thats the father of my bigboy :)

  • btw Chubby is beautiful! How high is the toy from the ground (when he is not playing with it)?

  • Thank you for the reply :) I purchased the 160lb garage door spring for my Boerboels and I am looking forward to training them on the Springpole :)

Thanks. I think this one was about 5 ft. It has the big garage door spring, I had to set it up so various dogs exp and no exp could use it. It was able to come down low when pulled on. I used a chain way up high in the tree where I could set heights also if needed. Please share your videos if you get some of your guys having fun!

  • I would love to know what is on the end of that spring pole (the toy). We are in the process of building one for our Boerboels and are looking for a good toy to put on the end. Are you using a garage door spring for it? Specifics would be super helpful! I'll keep checking the video for replies :)

On that one is a training "bite pillow" you can also use a training tug as they come in various sizes and are a bit more gentle on the teeth then some of the other stuff you can use. I also use lawn tractor tires. Be sure to have a big spring or good bungy so it provides the stimulation the dogs wants.

  • Looks very good for 8 years old!
