Also, I own a gold record awarded her record company for the sale of over 500,000 records sold of her album "here's Patsy Cline". I bought it at auction, it is genuine, a serial number and all. Anywho, someone moved into the house in Winchester, VA, her second hubby andher shared, and found reel to reels of Patsy, sold for a generous sum, years after her death. They were original studie and homeade studio recordings. Patsy .nu. I believe is still official site, her daughter posts and answers.
My family knew her. My father and uncle played in her band before she hit it big, and after she did, my 3rd grade school teacher, come to find out, was one of her best friends, and played in her band. She has spoken at her annual meeting about her experiences, and still has their correspondances. They once met up while Anna's hubby was in the military, and so was Patsy's husband. Patsy was doing a benefit. A very close friend to the family lived with Gerald Cline in his last years. HE WAS MEAN!
Terrific sound, but sadly not in its entirety. Reel-to-reel sound is amazing. And it's good to see and hear you, our oh-so-young Patsy Cline fan, who posts all the wonderful videos.
Bonjour Arnaud! Your player has a wonderful sound to it - I'm sure there aren't many still around and it's a great keepsake (along with the other marvellous stuff you have) Thank you for sharing!
I have reels from that same era that i want to transfer to mp3 so was glad to see your reel played without breakage. Mylar or acetate tape? Any tech problems like breaks or tape sticking to itself? Great song and artist. Thanks!
That song is so beautiful, it takes my breath away every time I hear it. Patsy's music is timeless. I can't imagine what should would have accomplished it she were alive today.
Anything really as long as it's Patsy. I have all of Patsy's youtubes put into one page. These are just some of the missing. If anyone wants that page, I would gladly send it to them. CJ

Looks exactly like my grandmother's Revere reel to reel recorder from the 1950s. Tape sounds very good on it!

I like how that sounds! The music at the beginning sounds much better than the CD. You can hear it better.

Thank you so much for sharing this tape with us. It's great that the young ones appreciate recording artists of long ago.

Magnetic tape actually outlasts CDs. There have been magnetic tape recordings found from 100 years ago that are still good.
Patsy was amazing. A benchmark of vocal ability, that's for sure.

Why don't you play the whole song? Its so pretty. Are you afraid of copywrite infringement? You can play the song. You are not selling it.

Thanx for posting. I have collected most all of Patsy's songs online. I am still looking for a complete Faded Love, Always, and Back In Baby's Arms.
