I know it's a late reply but the song is called "Vor hinsti dagur" in Icelandic, or "Our final day". The poem is by Halldór Kiljan Laxness and the song by Jón Ásgeirsson

well this is just gorgeous. i have to say that it does sound just a tiny bit nasally, which gives the sustained high notes a slight metallic edge. however, without knowing this language, maybe that is needed to get the right pronunciation. just gorgeous line and control! wow. i'd buy your cd, anyday!
