  • When wrestlers hit they hit hard it's all about letting the aggression out of the system, One guy takes a hit another allows to be hit you take it in turns to be fair.

    It's respectable.

  • wrestling is not fake its a risky artform

  • Wrestling is NOT fake. It's just scripted and predetermined. It's a real sport in the ring, but the only thing that's fake is where wrestlers play as characters.

  • Wrestler interviews. I love this clip.

  • You always here wrestlers moaning about people moaning that it's all fake. Yes they take real hits and 'yes' they put there body's through hell and that part is all real, but as far as winning and losing is concerned then 'yes' it is fake! But then again so is theatre fake and movies and people don't moan about them as much!

  • How did they get Jericho for this? Wrestling has many intellects in particular those that are shown to be otherwise (Kane, Raven etc.). For those that question why you put yourself through such pain, it's because they do that one thing they always wanted to and it's worth that. Yes there are many bad sides to wrestling, and if I had the characters I could list them, but stop focusing on the points that do not matter.

  • @goth1agw1omw

It's in human nature to be aggressive, this sport allows people to take out agression in a legal manner it has got some roots from boxing in a lot of ways.

  • @Dimitri0809 If the people in that ring are taking out aggression I can assure you they will black listed fast. Wrestlers do not put on aggressive matches, guys like Vader were a bit more stiff but that's only to make it look aggressive. In fact Vader in particular can often be heard during matches (he talked a bit too loudly) asking if they guy was ok.

  • Is that randy orton at 0:09?

  • @AJWAwrestling619 That's Vinny Nero, a worker from Rhode Island. He gets teased about looking like Orton constantly, but doesn't help the fact by using almost all of Orton's moves. He used to use a Mercy Drive song for his entrance too.

  • Pro-wrestling formula = theatre that white guys can still fight and kick ass without being scared of private litigation or the cops or being gang banged by their ethnic neighbours. Its like a 15min Western with steroids.

  • intro sounds like iron maiden

  • ill tell ya what makes me sick is when i hear wrestlers say we gotta do whats right for this business we want whats best for this business you hear wrestlers talk about the injuries they suffered for wrestling if you ask me wrestling has been given more than enough so yall can stop breakn your necks for this "business" now i used to love wrestling but anymore i fuckn hate it

  • Once this video hits 50,000 views, I'm going to post an outtake from the interview with Chris Jericho for everyone to enjoy.

  • @comealy17 i love chris jericho xD he's such a dork, it's a real joy to get to talk to him for a second

  • @GAKIIIIIN

With a name like "Jericho," he's GOT to be dorky.

  • @comealy17 I'll be posting the outtake soon!

  • 5:08 was Vader Time

  • The first thing I remember about wrestling is the Samoans with Lou Albano hitting someone with a wooden chair on the Canadian channel (cause I'm from Detroit) in 76 or 77

  • the guy with the beard and bandana looks like the guy who was briefly in the wwe as xanta claus, could be wrong tho

  • I got mad respect for wrestlers. If I had any charisma and pain tolerance, I would definitely go and train, take my bumps.

  • lol, it's all your fault grandma!

  • Pro-wrestling is pre-determined, yes. But the impact from the chair shots, the bumps, the falls, etc. is not fake.

And as far as pre-determined, so are soap operas, movies, comedy shows, etc.

  • the action is fake but the pain is real

  • I owe all my good memories watching wrestling to my little bro for showing me a video game, what time the shows are on and where I can see anything wrestling on yotube. It's been an amazing 4 yrs of pro wrestling in my life!

  • If you wake up every morning feeling like shit, why would you continue to fuck to fuck yourself up?

  • wtf is Chris doing with all these idiots

  • The word fake is so general. Is it scripted, YES. Of course. Is is painful and do they often get seriously injured. YES.

  • @BigMattDogg Thank you for that comment BigMattDogg. But...some of it isn't scripted we make it up as we go along too.

  • @TonyChase Definietly

  • @TonyChase

you a wrestler aswell then (by that i mean i am)??

  • @Ali619r yes I am. Look-up Nightclub XXX-press on youtube.

  • @TonyChase

sweet video, check out vpw - varsity pro wrestling on youtube

  • apart from jericho the rest are losers

  • i like when they called wrestlers stupid jericho went all professer on em

  • FAKE?????? Pain is real!!!! Land on the mat after a power bomb and tell me how YOU feel afterwards! It HURTS DAMNIT!!! I hate when people say that its fake!

  • Comment removed

  • @TonyChase

the ring is padded, and there is a giant spring under it to take the impact

  • @j5sully2012 The padding is thin and not all rings have a spring in them. Ask me how I know.Check my videos. I've been there.

  • @TonyChase

    it's fake

  • @Knowles66 Whatever man. Like Jeff Jarrett said a while ago, " For those who believe, no explination is needed, for those who dont, no explination will do".

  • @TonyChase

Believe what? That it's real? Those who believe Wrestling is real are morons. The Wrestlers are stuntmen. Stuntmen get hurt. Doesn't make what they are doing real. The outcome of matches isn't real. The storylines aren't real. Half the moves are made safe, so they're not real. You are going to need to accept that it's just a tv show and move on with your life.

  • @Knowles66 move on with my life?? Its entertaiment true...but so is magic.....oh wait didnt one of those magicians get MAULED by a tiger? Oh that wasnt real now was it? Accidents happen and people get hurt & sometimes DIE....is that REAL? Hmmm.... Pain & DEATH are real & the results of matches are predetermined. Lets say this then ...Its...REALITY BASED ENTERTAINMENT is that satisfactory to your critically judgemental possibly prepubecent mental capacity? Damn........THERES ALWAYS ONE.

  • @Knowles66 snappy " Move on with my life" comeback....did u make that up on your own or did your mommy help you?

  • Awesome. Johnny Toxic's theme is Daughtry.

  • lol awesome

  • the guy at 1:51 has all the same tattoo`s as randy orton....and im sure its not randy orton as he was with wwe in 2008:D

  • bunch of nobodies except jericho

  • Besides, your username negates anything you have to say, strictly on its' lameness alone lol

  • Actually, YES. It was a figure of speech. Again, he didn't mean specifically a script as is "written down on paper". He meant it as "planned out". And we don't only know the finish. We also know the winner/loser, an opening, maybe a few spots during the match, and also the finish.

  • @joeyimage some guys have planned spots that they have ideas 4 written down also.

  • "Pro wrestling is life" True...true.

  • If you HAVE to do it, make sure you have something else going on in your life, preferably something cerebral because even if you are among the 1% who actually make a living doing it, it will destroy your body, if not your spirit.

  • They create the ILLUSION of violence. It is very physical, very demanding and requires great coordination and athletic prowess. Too bad it's such a sucky business for those addicted to doing it. For 99% of those actually doing it, the pay is shit, if they get paid at all. There is no health insurance and no union. It's a very unforgiving business. It eats you up and spit you out.

  • @KidLeopard Just like PIMPS & HOES!!!! Amen KidLeopard!

  • Unlike a play or a musical composition or even a ballet, pro wrestling is not scripted - and therein lies it's fundamental conceit. Actors know their line, musicians know their charts, dancers know their steps. Wrestlers get in the ring and basically wing it. It's closest to contact improvisation. The wrestlers communicate as the go along, often with the input of the referee at the direction of the promoter.

  • The idiot narrator said wrestling is scripted. The true art of wrestling is to not have a script. Everything leading up to teh finish is SUPPOSED TO BE CALLED IN THE RING!

  • ^^This man knows!

  • It doesn't mean specifically scripted as in written out as words on paper, it's a figure of speech, idiot.

  • Not it isn't a figure of speech. It is an incorrect statement about what pro wrestling is. A script is a form of writing. It tells the actor what to say and what do to, except for the mannerism, expressions etc. In wrestling you are told the finish and that is it.

  • Then let's see you do better jackoff =)

  • lol fuck off geek

  • If it is so fake why can't they get health insurance? Insuring wrestlers is too high of a risk. They know they will have to pay for alot of medical claims.

  • Glad people like it. It was awesome to make.

  • Who (f**kin") cares if (pro-) wrestling is "fake?" IT'S ENTERTAINMENT! In my opinion, (pro-) wrestling is NO MORE "fake" or "STAGED," than what you see in the movies.

  • Go for it buddy. If you're not a fan, don't fuckin watch the video moron.

  • rko 0:10

  • Well done documentary. Makes me kinda proud to go to MSU now

  • don't get me wrong. Jericho is a clever boy, and he gets pissed off when people think he's a neanderthal or an idiot and that brings out a sligthly arrogant side of him. Gladly, he keeps it in check but he whacks it up to ten when he's the character Jericho in WWE

  • Was that Brock Lesnar at 29 seconds?

  • naw...shorter and a LOT fatter than Brock back in 2007

  • That was Nikolai Volkoff

  • good Documentary...Thank uU+.

  • no one can break THE WALLS OF JERICHO!!!!!!

  • did you just happen to run in to jericho for this interview???

  • and cool! the rainbow bridge...thats about a half hour from my mouse.

  • though that might have been the grand island bridge....

  • You have a mouse? No Jericho was contacted about doing this.

  • lol wow..i meant house but thank you for pointing it out :D

  • Cool!

  • Yeah, the roof is like a few inches away from them, imagine doing a Swanton bomb off the turn buckle then hitting your back on the ceiling!

  • Wow at 3:16, is the roof close enough? lol

  • Wrestled at a show here about a month ago with a low roof and when I went off the top rope I about knocked myself out when I smacked my head on the top.

I love this video. It's so true about the stereotype that we're all idiots. Nothing more I love than saying to someone, "no I don't work at Mcdonald's I'm actually a high school history teacher"

  • ha all my friends took the piss ouy of me for startin wrestlin until they came to see me one day an a couple of them let me scoop slam them on the mat :) ha

  • wow a documentry about wrestling thats respectful

any person who says wrestlers don't get hurt is seriously nieve that it's amazing

  • then dont watch it, moron.

  • For those complaining about "these nobodies"; if you honestly loved wrestling, you wouldn't care who is in this video. It's a short documentary about a great business, and that's all that matters.

  • no documentary is complete until you have New Jack.He is the most honest person in these

  • so true

  • accualy u wanna kno a secret im a pro wrestler i wrsestle 4 the awa/wsw yes the wsw in the video and when some1 punches u in the ring they do make contact but verry light take ur fist punch ur self in the arm with a closed fist then with a open tell me which 1 hurts more cause wrestlers use open fists cause they pack less punch

  • "its all ur fault grandma!!"

    LOL!!

  • People who are still claiming that pro wrestling is "fake" simply didn't watch the whole video. A pro wrestler will have a lot more injuries than a UFC fighter will at the end of the week. The people that need to grow up are the repetitive and ignorant haters. You will never change our minds about pro wrestling so give it up already!

  • the storylines and outcomes are ofcourse decieded ahead of the matches... and ofcourse alot of the moves are made so they will be safer but those guys take alot of risks and many wrestlers get injured for real to. austin broke his damn neck, benoit broke his neck, owen hart fucking died...

  • jensa is right...look at exposed:secrets behind pro-wrestling...I just watched this documentary about 2 minutes ago and every match is pre-planned and everything...

  • of course the results are fixed!

but the thing is matches with top wrestlers dont need gameplan bcoz they work with each other in the ring usually and come up with a lotta moves on the spot!

all the result are in coz its not a competition its, well... CONTACT THEATRE!

if a funaki(no disrespect) beats a lesnar day in day out with a foot lock ppl wouldnt tune in

the story and momentum building are as important as the matches themselves

thats why, i feel, pro-wrestling is so good to watch!!

  • ur wright except there is competition and that is who can have the best match who can do the coolest things man thats the copetition

  • this just makes me want to become a pro wrestler more

  • contact sport, live moralityplay stunt show, rock and roll show all combined. Jericho I knew you would describe it best. Wrestling that is proffessional wrestling is the oldest form of theatre, it dates back hundreds of years. Yes it is simulated but there is no way pro wrestling could not be. I was a very good amateur wrestler but the pro game is way tougher.

  • "zenbuilder" just shut the fuck up, thus you are a jackass, thus you are not proving anything, thus go fuck yourself. People who come here and say "oh it's fake" we get it all the time, your not proving anything and your not going to change our minds from loving it. Spend a day in the ring and say it's fake, fags.

  • You're not helping the stereotype by calling fans fags. Even when they piss you off with all the "fake" talk. Real wrestling fans GET IT! Who cares what the casual fan think?! They're not the ones showing up to your shows. Wrestlers who bag out fans on the net need to understand they're hurting the business!

  • the injuries are real jackass. we already know the feuds and promos and endings are scripted your not a fucking genius if you just found this out. So NO we are not being ripped off of our money. IT'S ENTERTAINMENT. If it wasn't scripted it wouldn't be as entertaining.

  • Are they athletes, for sure. Do they work hard, yup they do.

But the fights, feuds and outcomes are scripted and thus fake.

  • shut the fuck up just because it's scripted doesn't mean it's fucking fake U COCK SUCKING MOTHE FUCKING STUPID PIECE OF INBRED SHIT!

  • The Fighting isn't all fake some hits have to make contact so it can be heard

Believe me I kno I've been it wrestling school and it aint no walk in the park at all

  • Wrestling is amazing. End of.

  • Hey guys, I did this as a school project and to focus on why wrestling deserves to be respected. If all you're going to post is immature and pointless comments, specially those of you constantly coming back to see if you started anything, stop wasting my time and yours. Take your case somewhere else, or to another video where I'm sure they'll be happy to accept your negative views and dispute you until the end of time.

Wrestling is indeed all about respect. Learn it or get a new cause.

  • @comealy17 i agree have you seen the ccn break point documenty on steriods? or death point its in the list at the side and what were your views?

  • all i knw.

dat I call each and everyone of WWE wreslers, athlete! dats it

    RESPECT

  • jericho is kool!

    go wwe

  • Jericho is cool but who the fuck are the rest of the other guys

  • What the hell. You have Jericho, a veteran, in a suit, a huge star and one of the greatest wrestlers in the world, and then you have these kids with t-shirts. Aside from the guy with the bandana, they look like KIDS.

  • I personally respect every wrestler who puts his/her best foot foward and truly loves this business.

  • OK seriously it's a shame those NE workers got on this documentary instead of guys like Maverick Wild, Bob Evans, Scott Ashworth, Brickhouse Baker, etc. People seeing those clips will think those guys accurately represent NE wrestling when it is ANYTHING but the case.

  • so sick of these mafs wanting respect. you got a paycheck. be a man.

  • any body who trains in a wrestling gym, travels the road puttin up those rings, bumpin about for little or no money, tearin the ring down and goin on to the next town are payin thir dues to me.

  • I love Jericho's honesty and straightforwardness. That's why he's the man. Also a shout out to the westside of Milwaukee and Richardson.

  • heres a better question. who are you with 74 favorites on youtube but no videos of your own after being on here for 2 years?... sounds like you just wanna mark out for yourself trying to put down others from your mothers basement on another dateless night.

  • So true

  • i so wanna become a wrestler

  • this just makes me want to become a pro wrestler more

  • wwe

  • Me too!

  • Jericho: "It's all your fault, grandma"

  • The "I get out of bed, and I feel sixty," pretty much sums up wrestling to me. Just any of the wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, and kids, who have to help us get out of bed and get around each day.

  • I went onto John's Myspace to make fun of him about the Patriots and I saw this video. I gotta say, it came out REALLY good and is professionally done, great job! :)

  • Came out great! Can't wait to see the rest.

  • hahaha "im a trivia autism master" that is line of the project to me
