@reedreddevil he wasnt shot, he was stabbed with a needle that SUPPOSEDLY killed him but sedated him to close death in season 6 and was brought back to get revenge (as a "terrorist") in season 7. im a vivid watcher of 24, from 1-6 atleast... watched 7 once lol

I loved the way in season 7, Tony's character seemed to keep changing. He went bad guy to good guy to bad guy to sort of mixed up good guy, in the way that he was just getting revenge for the death of michelle.

I honestly thought Tony died at the end of Season 5, but then I got suspicius when, immediatley afterwards, he didn't get a silent clock. The silent clock, for those of you who don't know, is when the yellow digital "clock" that frequently appears on the show is shown without the sound effect that normally occurs each time a second passes. It's a gesture of respect towards the death of a very popular character. I thought to myself, "How could Tony Freaking Almeida NOT have a silent clock?"

Naturally I'm aware of the effect of the silent clock. I think it would more be an atmospheric thing than anything else, not always simply about death;

1. Season 6 ends without a death but with a clock

2. After Renee's fake death in season 7 there's a silent clock

They probably just did it because it worked better for that episode.

I have possible explenations for each, though.

1. After Season 6, Jack essentially decides that he wants to live the rest of his life alone, and die alone, so he doesn't hurt other people. That essentially means closing himself off to other people...killing himself, in a loose sense.

2. That's true, but you do hear the "breathing" sound effect, hinting what we eventually found out: that she was still alive. For this reason, I don't count it as a silent clock.

Dude! Yes, Tony is the greatest character on 24. And the part where Howard Gordon says "So we had to kill him again..." and then the best part is "No, he's not dying... we won't do that to you..." Yes! Awesome! He won't don't!

It's unknown at this point. At this point I'm just happy he is alive. But, being that this is 24, and that they just can't leave any living characters alone... and a main character at that, odds are he'll be in Season 8.

Yes, I love 24 because anyone in the show (other than jack) could die at any time. However I really liked Palmer as President and also Edgar, Edgar and Chloe O'Brian were just about to become an item and bingo he's dead.
