They did make a new patch which added some new content, but the amount of grinding required to get there makes it kinda meh.

Crafting is utterly, completely, and totally BROKEN as-is. You're basically looking at a horrifically-long grind just for *basic* minor upgrades if you craft.

Example of how broken the stat system can be:

Level 5 crit-crafted engines are better than any other higher-level engines, be they crit or non-crit. Imagine WoW having lower level gear always better than higher?

@jcdenton2k it's WAY better now. You should try it again. A lot of their past updates were crap but they outdone themselves this time. The game is great fun if you've got people to play with. Try it again, i seriously recommend it. Crafting is no longer broken :) Trust me.

Unfortunately since the Beta, they've made shields pretty much useless (you can't maneuver as quickly like in this video) and hull is much better to invest in since almost nobody uses shields anymore. A level 5 'shield-breaker' non-crafted energy weapon will nuke any level 40 shield in about 4 hits or less.

They also heavily nerfed a lot of other weapons and almost everyone does either full flamethrowers (insane speed & imba damage) or full explosives build (since they ignore shields).

My biggest gripe is the sticky deadzone. I hope you can make it loose so it isn't like a crosshair. I want to be able to move it around and have my ship follow.

@varnlestoff The only other thing is that I love cockpit views but it looks like the cockpit view will be a game breaker because of how limited your field of view is because of all the blind spots the instruments and cables take up, it's hard to see. I can see 3rd person just crushing cock pit enthusiasts.
