I'm curious as to what caused kpop to go from this to what it is now. Kpop is gonna turn into what American music is now eventually. :( Don't forget there was a time where you actually had to have talent to be popular.

I think the most positive change in kpop is definitely choreography. It's gotten a lot more creative than just parapara styled side stepping with hand movements. The outfits and mv quality have greatly improved too, but of course that happens with fashion & technology changing.

If songwriters weren't so big in America they wouldn't be getting awards during the award shows. And who says kpop artists don't write any songs? Epik High wrote a lot of their songs. YeEun wrote a song for Wonder Girl and some of YG's artists write songs.

People like Mariah and Madonna are great but I personally believe new American artists like Nicki Minaj, Justin Beiber, Ke$ha, etc. don't have a lot of talent. @crazyhypergurl Totally agree with you. but this happens even when some Kpop artist.. let me take for example Lee Hyori's Solo Carrer compare for example, Stylish E album with It's Hyorish or H-Logic, or with BoA between My Name or Miracle and Hurricane Venus (or even "The Face"). Those albums has a very different sound among themselves 'cause their music aim to different people and generations. Nobody is safe of that :(
