He's so preachy, so self absorbed. At every opportunity he threw in a self-righteous anecdote. Even the adoption in Dhaka turned into propaganda material. He speaks of his imprisonment in Vietnam as if he MADE the choice to stay when it turns out that was the only (unwritten) option to take by P.O.W.'s I'd hate to have this guy as my family member. He's the type that dominates the dinner table with same ol'stories where the underlying theme is his own presumed greatness.

You obviously aren't very familiar with what running for president entails. When a person runs for president he is supposed to convince the people of why he is the best candidate for office. You don't do that by talking out your rear, but by showing them your "resume" so to speak...that means basically telling them your experience. It may sound like McCain is tooting his own horn to you, but it's only because he has so much experience and wisdom to show why he is in fact the better candidate.

make sure all that what your saying about him is true because one you dont know him you were not with him during war and everyone acts different when they have different emotions. and its his recoords he doesnt have to realse them thats his bussiness not everyone elses. get off your high horses and realize that obama is so much more inexperienced then mcain and mcain is just so much better for this country

I think McCain did significantly better. Rick Warren probably felt that to a certain extent Obama might have been on "foreign soil" in conservative Orange County, and he was probably trying to put him at ease a bit.

John McCain has ove 130 dead sailors that would tell you how he cowardly drops bombs on the deck of the Forrestal trying to save his own ass. He has 32 registered TV interviews singing his songs of praise for North Viet Nam during the war. When the swift boat comes out, and his dishoner in Nam is exposed you will vote Obama. USTAR10 what a dishonorable lie about the Forrestal. McCain was a victim, not the cause. A Zuni missile on another plane was discharged by a power surge and hit his plane, dislodging two bombs into the quickly-spreading fire. McCain was wounded by shrapnel. Nearly killed in this fire, McCain spurned the chance to go home, volunteering to fly missions from another carrier.

Shot down, imprisoned, tortured, he refused to be released before the POWs imprisoned before him.

Sure, Right, PTSD doesn't even exist does it? Not if you are an officer. Have you even seen the USS Forestall video? It seems to me a good explination of what was happening in his mind that allowed him to be shot down by the Viet Cong, although I'm sure he meant to kill them all as his mind was raging with the loss of his fellow Sailers. Ever wounder why he wears that same old Navy hat everywhere? Isn't he running to be in charge of all branches of the service? The Medical officer was wrong.

I think John Mccain shows here his greatest asset: his kindness and knowledge. His entire speech at this forum was inspiring this. And he has a very good sense of humor, I cannot agree with someone without it.

Mr. McCain, do your Judeo-Christian principles oppose the killing of unborn babies, the suffering of our neighbors in the international community, the squashing of states' rights, and the enslavement of generations upon generations of able-bodied people into government programs such as welfare? (I thought so!)

What are you on about? McCain is pro-life. Calls for support constantly for our niehbors in the international community. He believes that states should decide their own rules in many instances. And he's for education and job placement instead of welfare expansion. Do you listen to this guy? Or do you just make stuff up in your head? Seriously? McCain has been tortured man. He sponsored legislation to to be sure we weren't taking part in anything that could be considered torture. And we don't invade other countries unprovoked. And don't give this Iraq bullcrap, Saddam most certainly provoked us constantly until we wen't back. And with pulling 550 metric tons of weapons grade uranium out of a 33 acre lot from Iraq recently, I'd say we had valid cause, not to mention 2/3 of the UN council caught with dirty under the table money to boot

Thats why we should have declared war on Al Qaeda...so we can determine a win and get the fuck out when we do. But its an undeclared war and we are still in Iraq killing insurgents (defending THEIR homeland)
