  • Hot Damn I love the description from creepingnet!

  • Calm down angry metal man, you might have a heart attack. Your Jaguar is very nice, you are absolutely right. Your tapping isn't terrible either, so don't be discouraged.

  • Righteous outrage in the description, I feel the same, & bear the same philosophy towards most subjects, but get this I'm 19.

  • i want a jazzmaster so bad simply coz i dont see anyone play it like i want to play it.

its so much easier to bash someone else. usually the people that do are to busy bashing other people to work on their own bad technique

  • Incredibly long ongoing dispute as to what the the Jag & J Master are good for. Way back to the 60's. Find some early Joe Pass & you find him playing both,,, Straight ahead jazz.

  • I do enjoy checking out people using the Jag for things that aren't surf or ambient. It's a really versatile guitar if you put the right pickups in and give it a good setup. This guy is a case in point so well done dude! (Joe Pass using it for jazz is cool too.)

As Jag owner I've learnt way more about how to make your instruments play and sound great. than I did with the four Gibsons I owned before it It's a hard beast to tame but if you can it'll do almost any genre, and do it well.

  • I love your tone and guitars etc, but please don't scare off the elitists! It is so funny to see what arseholes they can make of themselves!

  • I have watched quite a few of this guys videos and read the some of the shitty comments, and he has made a few less than desirable guitars sound pretty damn good to me.

I have only this to say. This dude could stretch a rubber band across a Cherrio box and make it sound great!

Keep up the good work and fuck all the dumbshit! *****

  • Lol, the irony is I play rubber bands on boxes too, I just have to be bored enough and have enough office supplies around.

  • I agree. I could pull alot of this off with a good amp and 0 effects or a good processor and a cheap amp. However, I do not play that well. The guitar itself is somewhat irrelevant. I can make a cheap squirre do all that. Just not that good. This guy is awesome.

  • @jdbarton3312 Oh shit! LOLOL!

  • Comment removed

  • lol, and that nirvana thing has got nothing to do with my "fenders intentions" post. xD i just noticed you were a nirvana fan and you said "jaguar is not for that" so i just made a conclusion.

  • i know tht jaguars are for surf and blues and funky even blues Cobain had modified it i never said tht it was for Grunge although he modified it so cool it used to fit

  • Yet many surf players preferred Jazzmasters and Dick Dale used a Strat. That's what I'm saying, if he prefers to use a Jaguar for what he does and feels comfortable with it, then it's ok.

  • jaguar is not for that...imo tahts all w.e u say

  • MrDarkHawk, who are you to say which guitar is for what? Almost all the Fender-made guitars didn't make it to the genre they were intended to.

Mike, what made you choose a Jaguar? :P

  • And who the fk u think are saying "almost all the fender guitars didnt make it to the genre they were intended to" Dude this youtube this what comments are for...i expressed my opinion if just didnt like it dont hesitate to reply or fight

  • what is your opinion then? what is jaguar for? nirvana?

  • Initially just body shape, then I played one and found It offered a WIDE tonal palette. Within the Jaguar it's got it's own sounds, and it can mimic some strat, tele, Les Paul, and Mustang-like sounds really well, which comes in handy in a live situation. Also, the vibrato is a neat piece, and due to it's design, I can do things with it that you can't do with ANY other trem system, like picking harmonics behind the bridge, some quasi-reverb effects, and an enhancement to harmonnic feedback.

  • your tapping sucks, and i find it funny you only follow yourself but that tapping was clearly worked off eruption

  • Now, with that initial pissed off-ness and sickness of hearing about this god damned vid because a bunch of tone deaf freaks with an axe to grind can't seem to make sense of the fact that I AM INFLUENCED BY EDWARD VAN-FUCKING-HALEN, and that due to this MY IMPROV WILL SHOW SOME SEMBLANCE OF THAT INFLUENCE (all caps for emphasis on the stuff cocksuckers seem to miss). It is because of this, I will STOP BEING NICE about this. READ the damn more box to the right, I WILL be adding some commentary.

  • As for tapping. That is an INCORRECT term. Tapping is when you fret a note and TAP another note on a different fret....tapping is short for TAPPED HARMONICS. What I was doing there, for the most part, is RIGHT HAND HAMMER ONS. You do hammer-on's with your right hand. Also, EVH did NOT invent it, but rather, just like the solidbody guitar, there's been a LOT of debate on who did. Some tell me Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top was first.

  • i allways find the pickups on the classic jags have soo much potential but no one ever thinks to use them for rock most of the time so its a really unknown guitar but their pickups are soo hot its not even funny they could melt even the coldest music

  • I find that surprising myself. I tend to prefer the vintage Jaguar pickups to most any other kind of Single Coil as they have this interesting Fat-but-thin tone. The first I ever played was a 100% original 1963 Fender Jaguar, and that mofo could give a Flying Vee or a Les Paul a run for it's money in the heavy rock category.

  • yeah but they allways come with really stoopid bridges i would buy another classic jag if i could put a floyde in it and a tunomatic would be fine but the classics just have too much hardware anyways so if i put a floyde in there itll just have a freaken gap in the hardware and the body

  • I like the Jag/Jazz bridge, it's wonkyness is a part of it's sonic character, though after playing a Vintage and several Reissues, the Vintage one's have some small differences in the bridge design that make it better (deeper grooves, tighter screw/thread tolerances...etc). As for floyds, I'm all for more Jaguar variations existing. Back in the 90's I was plotting all kinds of schemes to make a "Super Jag" of sorts, but it gave way when I found I could pull off all I needed on a vintage style.

  • i do like the standard bridge its just #1 when u do the action its a bitch especially with the string gauge i use but i changed the bridge a while back but i divebomb the guitar like a mofo so i need something that will remain in tune throughout all the crazy stuff so the sound is amazing but i need something that can take a little bit more of a beating im hoping i can achieve it with my HH Jag i just wish the dragster pickups had as much kick as the standard ones do

  • this video was good

want to chat with singles h0

  • is it american?

  • Japanese

  • The good stuff starts at 2:30 :). Anything before that is just random shredding =)

But kudos on the stuff from 2:30

  • lol, this whole vid is random, I made most of this up as I went along, with some possible bits ripped from this and that in there.

  • oh god. enough with the shreding. Play some real music for a change.

  • Enough with the artsy fartsy alt-rock, go buy an ibanez and learn to play polka!

  • Ironically, my grandmother does own this guitar.

  • Huh. Doesn't work.

  • My ears led me about halfway till my brain said stop - but I'm more your grannie's vintage I guess. You play ok, but your grandkids will most likely giggle.

  • Gooooo, please stop, get a better tone. Playing is ok though.

  • Nice solo, I'm thikning of building my own Jag. They're amazing guitars.

  • how much are those pickups? and the guitar? i've wanted a jaguar for long. does this go with metal rythm playing aswell?

  • lol. I follow myself.

  • Is that the classic player special?

    Nice Playing

  • Nope, 1998 Fender Jaguar 62' Reissue Crafted in Japan, with Seymour Duncan Cool Rail pickups partially disguised as regular Jaguar pickups.

  • ASounded lik e salsh to me thats amazing man ! wath my videoss

  • what gear are you using?

  • In this video, I'm just using a 1998 Fender Jaguar 62' Reissue with Seymour Duncan SCR-1B Cool Rails pickups, and 500K pots, through a Behringer V-Amp Pro. I'm using an emulated Marshall JCM800 head with emulated EVH 78' cab.

  • I don't see where everyone is thinking Eruption from.

Sounds more like Surfing With the Alien to me. But that's surely not a bad thing.

I like your style. It's very Steve Vai-esque

  • Nice playing

  • O MY GOSH!

  • Great playin and great pickups!!!

    Seymour duncan roles!!!

  • my face!!! its meltiing!!!!

  • The clean sound at the end was very nice. Reminded me tubular bells with those shimmering bell tones. Nice sound :)

  • Thats a great sound. I liked the Hendrix style harmonic dives. very chunky too for metal. cool guitar and great playing :)

  • I have a 1962 Jaguar. I never thought you could get that kind of cool sound out of it.

  • Oh, the vintage ones are REALLY capable, especially with the variances in output during the 60's due to the scatter-winding and all the different people who wound the pickups. The first Jaguar I played was a 1963 beaten to heck and back and 100% original and bone stock (only one owner), I left the shop after playing that one with everyone impressed at how it could get a thrash metal sound straight through a Mesa Boogie heartbreaker. Jags are very underrated guitars IMHO.

  • Creep...you are my hero!Keep doing what you're doing...

  • Nope, Seymour Duncan Cool Rails.

  • ok for the tapping you basically just copied EVH and changed it in the tiniest ways

  • Dude that is amazing i was thinking highly of getting a jaguar and customizing For my own tone but i have questions on it. From someone whos played it a lot does it go out of tune like people say? Thats the only thing stopping me from buying one is that.

  • I've had no tuning problems whatsoever, with the Jaguar or Mustang trem systems. Most of the problems people have are due to it being improperly setup, or having a dirty string path.

  • jaguars are great

  • sounds pretty mainstream to me

  • That is one mean fuckin jag... what kinda amp setup you running?

  • Behringer V-Amp Pro - JCM800 amp emulation, EVH 78' cabinet, and some reverb for effect.

  • 0:00 to about 1:30, YOUR PLAYING ERUPTION!!!

Just cuz ur in a different key/play couple different riffs/or add some other EVH techniques (harmonic trills) doesn't mean it aint Eruption. Ur jamming the same concept/build up...especially when u get to the tapping.

The "louie louie effect" is a cop out. u me & a billion others have heard eruption a million times & use Eddie techniques, so its ridiculous to deny or get offended about that dudes comment. be humble.

  • If I play different riffs, and add some other teqniques, it is NOT Eruption. When EVH plays Eruption in concert, it's pretty damned well close to the original, as in SAME KEY and NO CHANGED RIFFS.

  • Furthermore, I'm getting rather sick of the overanalysation going on in this damned vid. I was just bullshitting around, no more, no less. But alas it seems I've gotten every group of haters out after me from the Van-Halen morons who like to start shit over my van-halen videos, to the surf/indie guys who start shit over my Jaguar/Jag-Stang videos. Can't we all just fucking get along?

  • the "beauty" of youtube, is no matter what you upload, good or otherwise, you are opening the doors to unsolicited moron-taries from every shit 4 brains nutsack out there. i say, fuck 'em! do your thang, brother!

  • And for the last paragraph, for fuck sake, READ MY COMMENT BELOW I AM NOT DENYING USE OF THE TEQNIQUES!!! The reason I'm pissed is because end up with people who obviously can't tell an E from an A and several patterns of notes apart telling me I'm playing something I'm not! Deal with it. It was not the intent of the video, and while there may be some similarities to bits here and there, that was not the intent.

  • it was ok but Wtf with that one part It was the beginning of Eruption by van halen.... and dont say u made that shit up.

  • Well, for starters I DID NOT FUCKING WRITE ANY OF THIS SHIT!!! I made it up as I went along, and any possibilities of me throwing some Van-Halen in there are very possible, as I pull VERY heavily from EVH. So far I've watched this video 5 times already since your comment, and I would LIKE for you to point out exactly, in MINUTES AND SECONDS where the beginning of eruption is.

  • If it is where I think you think it is, boy are you tone deaf, the beginning chord of THIS is E5, the beginning chord of Eruption is A5! Yes there are some van-halen noises, and some stuff that sounds similar. It's the friggin louie louie effect. There are only 12 notes total, and they all are finite! So of course some idiot on youtube with a Jaguar can pull do the same damn thing as Van-Halen without paying attention to it. Let's just drop the whole fucking thing already, this is stupid.

  • that was amazing!

    great tone!

    great playing!

    simply incredible!

  • Nice playing there.. though i think you should stop thinking you are someone because you make your own riffs and try to be different like EVERYONE ELSE.

  • I've actually considered building another Jaguar with a George Lynch inspired paint job like that, except Jaguar themed.

  • are both pickups cool rails?

  • lol 'wankery'

  • Other than your description being pretty heavy in the self-sucking department, your wankery was alright!

  • Who said I had a way with words? I'm a friggin LEAD GUITARIST.

  • Top Switch = Neck Pickup On/Off

Middle Switch = Bridge Pickup On/Off

Bottom Switch = Thin/Strangle/Bass Cut Switch

  • The Jazzmaster, hotter pickups

  • Wow youre some bad ass dude, and maybe the only one who molest this instrument with absolutley no soul, buy your shelf a ibanez, or jackson or something with 8 strings . This is not guitar for you . . .

  • You know, normally I would not lower myself to replying to you, but since I get this a lot...I guess I can take a hit.

I'll be blunt and honest with you, FUCK OFF! My guitar, my music. If you don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT! Maybe the guy has an 11 on a ten scale, but that doesn't mean the guitar does'nt like it. That Jaguar has been better than ANY shred guitar I've had for shred/metal/heavy rock. Same goes for Mustangs, Jag-Stangs, and Jazzmasters...

  • While I don't hate a single guitar, I take a preference to the Jaguar for a reason. I've had far less trouble with Fender's trems, especially the Jag/Jazz and Mustang trems.

What I really think upsets the "stereotypical" Jag player the most, is that these guitars have become expensive, and people have started using them for things other than punk/alternative/grunge/whatever. So now suddenly they are getting more like Strats/Teles year after year. Nothing anyone can do about that....

  • From the time they became a popular choice for grunge musicians, there was an inkling of a chance someone who doesn't care abut genre labels much would start using one. Basically put, I don't give a damn if my guitar isn't "metal", I dont' give a damn if some alternaprick thinks I'm wrong for doing what I want to do. The point, It's MY Guitar, NOT yours, and apparently, she's been good to me for the 3 years, so I really have no plan on changing guitars despite how wrong your genre thinks it is.

  • I think its fine and fucking good that a jaguar is breaking into another barrier of music. All of these narrow minded alternative dudes probably dont realize that the surf rockers probably felt the same way when they first saw Kurt Cobain hack out a scale-less,out of key string snapping solo. The Jaguars are so versitile, and should be used for every genre of music.I just wish they were as cheap as they were 20 years ago.

  • que garcha esto dios!!!

  • Sorry about being harsh. Tapping just sounds unskilled and unpleasant in general.

  • That tapping just sucked jeltsin's ass. Horrible and boring

  • Explain to me what's so horrible about it then?

  • The fact it's just random noise with lots and lots of extra buzzing and noise..it's not 'clean' tapping. It was boring because there was no musicality...it was just tapping for tappings sake..

  • I'm just explaining my thoughts because I also felt the tapping wasn't that hot. But in general, even though this isn't my thing (musically) it's pretty decent. Flashy, maybe more style than substance, but still well played. I'd just prefer something with more soul. And I agree with your general out pourings of rage...I can't see why one guitar should be forced to stay in one genre, although I do understand some guitars work better in certain situations, and guitarists not wanting what they play

  • ...to have a certain image associated with a certain style they don't like.

  • I'm sorry, but that's really not surf rock. Not at all.

It's mind-blowingly awesome, though, and even more importantly, it's quite original - a little bit surf rock, a little bit metal, and a little bit mozart.

  • It was not intended to be. The title was a jab at the pretentious surf/alt/indie musicians who all love to bitch and moan at my videos about using the Jaguar for something other than alt/indie/surf. I believe it's a damn fine guitar worthy of more than a few genres.

  • nice guitar, but what sort of scales were that in the beginning of the vid?

for a jam it was nice, but the tapping still needs some refining, but rest was good though, a broad style you have their

  • Most of my scales are major/minor, and penatonic, with a little of the more advanced stuff thrown in as accidentals.

  • what model is that jag?

    its a reissue?

  • 1998 62' reissue Jaguar, Crafted in Japan.

  • dude wtf u didnt make that up, its Eruption by van helsing u dip shit

  • This isn't Eruption, buttmonkey! Give up your guitar, you are not deserving of it if you can't tell Eruption from some stupid made up solo on the internet! BLOCKED!

  • well when u first started tappin i could see where a noob could confuse it with eruption.

  • first of all, this isn't Eruption. second of all, it's VAN HALEN. not VAN HELSING THE VAMPIRE HUNTER. ass wipe

  • HAHAHA yeah its Hugh Jackman.. douchebag..

  • LOL!!! XDD VAN HELSING! BRAVO CHAMP! XDDD you must be the worst noob to take this impro for eruption, and not even have the right spelling for the artist!! XD waw, you are really, really bad! XD anyways, great guitar dude!

  • i'm thinking about getting this guitar, but i need to know what kind of strings i should get to prevent the guitar coming out of tune frequently, if it does that at all.

  • The Jaguar is actually a very stable guitar tuning wise. As for me, I use 009-042, sacrilege amongst most offset fans.

  • good to see someone open-minded about digital gear. can anyone argue w/ his sound?

  • Was that floods in the middle or did u rip that?

  • No, I just made that part up, Floods is a lot different actually. Maybe I should post a video of me playing floods on the Jag, it works well for that kind of song.

  • this guy is way to good for a guitar like the jaguar

  • naw man, i love this. this is using guitar a for music b and it totally works.

  • jags are awesome

  • Hey man, nice playin' keep on rockin' ! Great job. As a guitar player I find it most important to learn from other players, and therefor I have some questions: What gear do you use beside your Jaguar, cuz your sound is great. Futhermore, I was wandering what friggin' cool technique you used at 0:41 untill 0:48. Could you please explain?

    Thanx, peace

  • Mu other guitars include - Fender Jag-Stang w/ EMG pickups, Fender Jaguar HH, Squier Jagmaster, Squier Tele, home made Strat Mutt clone, 2 Kramer Focus 3000s (one heavily modified), First Act kids guitar, First Act ME537, Home made Explorer guitar, Squier 7-String, Kramer Striker St-100 w/ warmoth neck, and a Harmony Student electric.

  • Effects include a Digitech Whammy, BOSS PS-5 Super Shifter, Danelectro Chili Dog Octave, Zvex Vexter Series Fuzz Factory, Fender Starcaster chorus, Fender Starcaster Distortion, Crybaby Wah, DOD FX-75B Stereo Flanger.

  • My amps are - Roland Street Cube, I use that for goofing around at friend's houses. I have a 150 Watt Line6 AX2 212 for playing live, and the Behringer V-Amp Pro rackmount amp simulator that I use for youtube vids. I usually go for a British Hi-Gain (Marshall) kind of sound with some Van-Haleny cab influence, and usually a stereo chorus and heavy Ultra-Room reverb to give a big spatial sound, it works pretty well for jumping between alt-rock and 80's metal easily.

  • AS for 0:41 - 0:48, that's something Edward Van-Halen used to do. basically a 3 note open string trill with the left hand while sliding the edge of your hand very lightly down the strings. It brings out all kinds of crazy sounding harmonics, sort of giving a hollow "drinking" sound. EVH was a huge influence on my lead playing so there's a lot I do that he does.

  • i was searching for some surf guitar licks on a jaguar - and then i find this! don't know what to say...

  • anyway!!! Jaguar Ownage!

  • Hell yeah.

  • hey, speaking of switches, you know the kurt cobain mod, where instead of the 2 pickup selectors on the lower part its just a big jazzmaster style toggle switch?you know where I could find one of those plates or even what its called so I can look it up?

  • Most of the ones I have seen were made out of mirrored plastic.

  • those are SD "cool rails" pups, right?

  • yes

  • what are the swithes for?

  • The Jaguar is a Dual Circuit guitar, one circuit is on the upper bass side horn, the rhythm circuit, it enables the neck pickup only, and the two roller knobs (volume and tone), flip the switch on that plate towards the treble side and it enables the lead circuit, which has pickup selection (neck/bridge), and the strangle switch on the 6 sided plate on the treble side, and the little tail plate holds the lead volume and tone controls.

  • The whole idea behind the dual circuit design on the Jaguar/Jazzmaster was so one could preset each circuit to a desired volume level and sound, allowing one to have one set for playing solos (lead circuit), and the other set for playing rhythm (rhythm circuit). I usually just use it as a quick swap between neck and bridge pickups though.

  • you play alot like claudio sanchez from coheed and cambria. nice stuff man!!

  • Funny, I was just watching the last supper, and I have to sort of agree. I like your style. Keep shredding.

  • JAGUAR JAGUAR!! OWNS!!!

  • wow really good man def pro lol how many guitars do u own

  • 3 Basses, and 14 guitars.

  • thats awesome i want to borrow some lol. are you in a band or do you just ply by yourself for people?

  • I have been playing for myself since 2003, I was in a band for awhile before that. As of late I've been working on putting together another band, I'm actually looking at getting a singer this weekend.

  • sweet if you have some songs i wanna hear em

  • Nice Jag demo, creepingnet. Your Jag is quite versatile. Fit for heavy metal duty, and nice clean sounds, too. Couldn't find that you had posted any info on your amp, stomp boxes, or mic-ing technique.

Q: Is the feedback at the beginning of the vid and in the whammy section generated at discreet bedroom dB, or are you more or less cranked? If you can give me any tips on how to get that controlled feedback at low volume I'd be much obliged. Keep up the good posts.

  • This will be a multi-part response. For starters, I'm using a Behringer V-Amp Pro here, which most of my vids use (except a short few from late 06'/early 07' that used a Digitech GNX-1, and my 2 Line6 AX2 vids). Most of the time it's straight through, though latelty (as in since my last guitar vid) I've been throwing in a DOD FX-74B Stereo Flanger, Zvex Fuzz Factory, Digitech Whammy, and a BOSS PS-3 Pitch Shifter into the mix quite a lot.

  • As for the feedback, It's not really feedback, I'm picking the strings behind the bridge, particularly the lower 4 strings, which are all on harmonic node points and ring out back there, creating sort of a "fake" feedback type sound. One of my favorite things about the Jaguar/Jazzmaster vibrato, I'm basically doing "metal" things with the "3rd bridge teqnique" that everybody gives Sonic Youth a lot of credit for.

  • As for the V-Amp itself, I use the British Hi-Gain amp sim with the EVH 78' Cab, or the 67' 2X12 cab if I need more treble cut. The settings are Drive = Off, Gain = 1 o' clock to flat out depending upon how much I want, volume = desired level (usually not that high), low = halfway, mid = flat up, treble = usually most of the way if not all of the way up, and prescence is flat out. outside of the vids I often use a Stereo chorus and Ultra-Room reverb to widen the sound.

  • "I don't follow the mainstream OR the underground" - Wich is really funny considering the style you play has been played a million times before by people who ARE the mainstream.. Please don't pretend to be original, none of us are ;)

  • Here's a little clarification as to what I meant here. Most people, who play metal, HATE offset waisted fenders with non-locking trems, while most Offset Fender players hate Heavy Metal. It was not meant to say I'm being "original", it was meant to say I was picking an "oddball" guitar choice for the job at hand.

  • Ok i see.. in that case i apologise cause obviously i didn't got the message! You are right, it is very narrowminded that a particulair guitar has to fit with a particulair style and anything else besides that is not acceptable.. Screw them!!

  • Whats the neck like on a jag'?IS it very thin or is it chunky? BEcause im looking for a fairly thin necked guitar like a srat or a tele but i love the look and sound of a jag

  • Depends on which "Generation", the 60's originals had 4 neck widths (A,B,C,D, - from thinnest to thickest, with B being normal), the Japanese ones are based off the B neck width, and are rather skinny. The AVRI models are the same deal or so I hear. Mine feels just slightly thicker than a Jag-Stang neck.

  • Right after I watch this I went out and bought a jag, great metal guitar.

    Thanks!

  • dang you must have some money!

  • Might wanna change the pickups first, specially if you get a Japanese one.

  • you should give your guitar to someone who can play it the way it should

  • You're exactly the type of person my video was a reaction against.

  • Are you high????? How would you suggest he play it??? You sound like a pompus A-hole! Mad Mike Rulz....KING KONG!

  • Sorry, my last comment was aimed at moktar89.

  • moroun vit a fine gitar

  • omg I like the finger picking part =)

  • Remember: Guitarists are very conservative, conformist people, even if they don't think of themselves that way. Don't play to please other guitarists. Follow the advice of a real nonconformist, David Fair: "How could it be wrong? It's your guitar and you're the one playing it. It's completely up to you to decide how it should sound."

  • I know this. The title is mostly a bitter response of the time to some people I had been talking too. Some alt/punk guys don't like my style, and some metal guys wish I'd sell the Jag and get a Jackson or Charvel, but I'd rather use a Jaguar, so much unexplored territory on em' with the switches and trem unit, and they actually play better than most say.

  • Amazing, isn't it? So many guitarists are not shy about letting others know they disapprove of their instrument choice, or style. I cannot stand that kind of arrogance. It's great that you're playing a Jag, and following your own muse. You're right; they are amazing guitars. A very wide palette of tones, and they do play very well.

  • alternative and punk rock guys telling you what to do? i find it unsettling that people who are supposed to be pop culture dissidents are telling someone whats cool and whats not. fucking losers.

i initially thought it was just going to be flashy speed nonsense but the two hand tapping and arpeggiated reverby business were really cool. im sure you dont need me to tell you but fuck those who snub their noses at you. theyre just to simple

  • I could not have said it better myself.

  • what kind of pickups? cool rails?

  • Yep, bridge position cool rails, in both positions.

  • I wish my gram had a guitar.

  • I figure everyone has a phase where they want to impress and play really energetic music, until they realize that you leave a longer lasting imprint on someone by playing simpler more melodic phrases than by playing fast scales, tapping exercises and power chords. Wide intervals and syncopation are your friends!!

Great chops and heavy tone though! I wish i can rip like that.

  • Not really a phase, all ALL different styles have their place in my book. I had a phase where this is all I did, but that time has long since passed. Most of these vids have been a demonstration that yes, a Jaguar is actually capable of heavy rock without any modification.

  • lots of eddie van halen in there just watch a live version of erution

  • Of course, Ed is one of the bigger influences on me (the others are Kurt Cobain, Billy Gibbons, Paul Dean, Neil Schon, James Hetfield, and Dimebag Darrell)

  • nothin wrong with that bro eddie van halen is the most entertaining guitarist an he had an innovative tone but my main influence is eric johnson good stuff though

  • theres nothing there

  • keep on fuckn shreddin man you rock...keep

    it up

  • :( play some music man.

  • you're all tech and no soul

  • read the description :P

  • haha yeah. this kicks ass anyway

  • Woah, i think we've found buckethead's long lost brother... nice playing man! Love that jag too. What's the average price of a 62'?

  • Original 62' - $1000-4000

    Reissue 62' Japan (CIJ/MIJ) - $450-700

    Reissue 62' AVRI (USA) - $800-$2000

Reissue "Thinskin" AVRI (USA) - $2000 new

  • thx man!

  • Very nice!! You and Guitarwannabe are probably the 2 most talented and best sounding on this freakin website.

  • this is insane i like the moment at 2.22 to 2.40
