yes she did, the Dr. who took over the practice of her plastic surgeon found the file on her chin implant and says the old plastic surgeon told him they did her nose. That and it's obvious her nose was more bulbous. They all used to get stuff done, even back then. Who cares!
just watch marilyn 1955 where she is in a pool no make up, her eyes look small that is just make up making her eyes appear bigger, there are loads of vids on u tube by make up artists showing how you can do this, her nose even looks the same except the tip and bridge, i read she had issues with breathing but I dnt really care she looks better as a blonde she was pretty as a red head but sexier as a blonde

You didn't know her - I don't even know if you were alive back in the 50's - so don't make assumptions that you know everything just because you're a fan.

As Norma she had normal eyes, not too wide, and eye-lids don't hang down at all. As Marilyn she has mega eyelids that ooze over her eyes and give her her seductive look. She didn't used to have this and no one can train their eyelids to do this at will without surgery (go on, try it). However who cares!
Her nose is still the same.. Nothing really changed. I like her the only thing that I don't like about her is that said said that "She doesn't need God".

Historians will tell you that indeed she did have work done and it has been depicted in every movie or story done on or about her. Her nose was bulbous and the tip looks a bit shorter and slimmer. Her eyelids look enhanced and more defined as well, perhaps an eyebrow lift was performed. The end result beautiful regardless, not like the massacres performed today where women look deformed.

@avonmarkproducts It's a documented fact. why is it so hard to accept? That her beauty wasn't natural. She had good work done very early on, but it's very very obvious. Her bridge was refined and so was her chin. This isn't baby fat folks, it's what Johnny Hyde's money could buy. Dr. Gurdin and Pangman performed her surgery in the late 40's, very late, like 1948 or 9. But who cares? What I find so spectacular in Marilyn is also her figure, smile, charisma and intellect.

Screen tests were initially unfavorable in regards to her nose in particular so a little plastic surgery was performed. Hence Marilyn Monroe was born.

He had her undergo minor plastic surgery (nose, chin, teeth, hairline). He used his influence to help her land the roles of Angela in The Asphalt Jungle and Miss Caswell in All About Eve. It's really not a big deal, or shameful. It was standard practice is all. :)

She had her hairline cleaned up with electrolysis, chin, nose and teeth done. I think people see so much terrible plastic surgery that they don't realize that 99% of it is very subtle, back then as it is now (I work for a PL Surgeon btw) a good nosejob will not be noticable. PL Surgery isn't anything bad, I don't know why people get so upset about it tbh.

I remember being so shocked upon finding out that she probably had surgery done...but only because I never knew that the practice of plastic surgery existed before the 70s/80s....lol. I thought they just augmented her hairline, and gave her a high lift blonde, and a completely different makeup routine and eyebrow shape. I had no idea they were carving noses back in the 50s!

in a good nose job the work is subtle... it's obvious from the pictures that the bulbous end of her nose had some revision rhinoplasty--not necessarily any bone shaving, just some subtle cartilage-shaping at the tip, to give it a more defined look...i think it's the most common piece of plastic surgery people in the public eye end up getting....it's been said ms. monroe also had a subtle chin-revision surgery. my best friend had one and i would never even have noticed...just a tweak.
In these pictures you've gotta considor that when she became more famous she wore more make-up which does make people look a little different, i don't think she had any plastic surgery thats one of the reasons why she is a ledgend.
There are pictures on the internet of her standing next to refrigerators and in some of the pictures the refrigerators are smaller than in others and so that proves that every photo of her is fake and that she didn't exist. I mean that wasn't even her name and so she didn't exist because even her name was fake. Elton John isn't fake and he even said that she had a different name. and her chin was not straight, so he gave her a little inplant. they also replaced her hairline, and fixed her tooth, mosly her front teeth. if anyone disagree anyway,, then google it.....

Her teeth were deemed "perfect" in 1947, when she began modeling. She wore a brace to correct a slight overbite. Her hairline--as anyone can see here, was always high and wide, wih the famous widow's peak. She was an adorable, fresh girl, who became a gorgeous woman. Lovely either way.

@avonmarkproducts It's a documented fact. why is it so hard to accept? That her beauty wasn't natural. She had good work done very early on, but it's very very obvious. Her bridge was refined and so was her chin. This isn't baby fat folks, it's what Johnny Hyde's money could buy. Dr. Gurdin and Pangman performed her surgery in the late 40's, very late, like 1948 or 9. But who cares? What I find so spectacular in Marilyn is also her figure, smile, charisma and intellect.

Screen tests were initially unfavorable in regards to her nose in particular so a little plastic surgery was performed. Hence Marilyn Monroe was born.

@brwniez1 If you actually were a true fan you would know that Johnny Hyde, the Vice-president of the William Morris Agency's West Coast office during the 1930s and 1940s, Took Marlyn on as a client in 1948. He had her undergo minor plastic surgery (nose, chin, teeth, hairline). He used his influence to help her land the roles of Angela in The Asphalt Jungle and Miss Caswell in All About Eve. It's really not a big deal, or shameful. It was standard practice is all. :)

@brwniez1 I meant, if you had read her Biographies etc. you would know she did have surgery. I did not mean it as an insult, I apologize. She had her hairline cleaned up with electrolysis, chin, nose and teeth done. I think people see so much terrible plastic surgery that they don't realize that 99% of it is very subtle, back then as it is now (I work for a PL Surgeon btw) a good nosejob will not be noticable. PL Surgery isn't anything bad, I don't know why people get so upset about it tbh.

I remember being so shocked upon finding out that she probably had surgery done...but only because I never knew that the practice of plastic surgery existed before the 70s/80s....lol. I thought they just augmented her hairline, and gave her a high lift blonde, and a completely different makeup routine and eyebrow shape. I had no idea they were carving noses back in the 50s!

in a good nose job the work is subtle... it's obvious from the pictures that the bulbous end of her nose had some revision rhinoplasty--not necessarily any bone shaving, just some subtle cartilage-shaping at the tip, to give it a more defined look...i think it's the most common piece of plastic surgery people in the public eye end up getting....it's been said ms. monroe also had a subtle chin-revision surgery. my best friend had one and i would never even have noticed...just a tweak.

i saw a docu< about marilyn's plastic sur. he told that she had a nose job,
and her chin was not straight, so he gave her a little inplant. they also replaced her hairline, and fixed her tooth, mosly her front teeth. if anyone disagree anyway,, then google it.....

@cleopatra44 Wow...learn your MM business. She had minor work on her nose--the tip--and an implant tp give her a stronger profile. The implant disloved by 1958. She did not replace it. Her teeth were deemed "perfect" in 1947, when she began modeling. She wore a brace to correct a slight overbite. Her hairline--as anyone can see here, was always high and wide, wih the famous widow's peak. She was an adorable, fresh girl, who became a gorgeous woman. Lovely either way.

Funny how her "broken tooth" never showed in any of her modeling pics? Or why her modeling resume--written by the woman who ran the place, referred to Norma Jeane's "Perfect teeth." @SJMish Hi, first i read it in english book at school. However i have seen it in several texts about Marilyn, i like her and i have read a lot about her. However i haven't her biography book, but maybe u will find it in a book of Norman Mailer. :)

MARILYN ALSO HAD A SMALL IMPLANT PLACED IN HER CHIN WHICH SOFTENED IT AND MADE HER MORE PHOTOGENIC. WITH OR WITHOUT SURGERY SHE WAS TRULY LOVELY.

I think she was prettier without the facial surgery. Plus, I like her natural hair better. I think it's sad that they changed her so much because she was pretty anyway! The media sucks; always making us women feel like we're never good enough. :(
