Simply beautiful. I was very disappointed that he didn't win; however, I'm glad that he has found success. In my opinion, he is one of the very few truly talented people to have competed on A.I., most of whom were mediocre. They couldn't hold a candle to Ella, Sarah, Mel, etc. Not even close.

Elliot is incredible.  I would have to say that after season five, there were a few stars here and there, but no season stood out as much as this one did. Every one of the top 12 had star quality. I loved them all and Elliot was probably the best of them.

Come on Tub, a completely off the mark evaluation for a song that is EXTREMELY difficult to sing. There is no forced vibrato and he did his own thing within his range and vocal strength.

It's his version of the song, as he perceived it in his musical mind, which judging by his success, seems pretty "right on".

...but...this guy is way too white and sings this way too straight. Listen to James Moody do it. This as played on a saxophone on a solo and was so good they put lyrics to make it a song. Does anybody else think the judges sabotaged him when he made the top 3. McPhee sang a weird Over the Rainbow interpretation and they acted like it was amazing. Then they slammed Elliot Yamin. Very dissapointing. He should have won.

He does do a very nice rendition of the song. My favorite version was by King Pleasure who is a virtual unknown outside of the jazz world. George Benson does a very nice version of it also. Of course the James Moody saxophone solo of "I'm in the Mood for Love", from which it came and then words put to Moodyis solo, was a stupendous achievment.
