@scabbathor well - this song was written by Grapow actually. But I do understand what you mean. Helloween turned into very good rock band, with much more commercial vibe and 'smooth' writing. I like this sort of music but I much prefer first Helloween records or what is Gamma Ray doing. Helloween for me wasn't so much about vocalist (Kiske or Deris) but Kai Hansen. It's very good stuff but it shouldn't be called Helloween imho, because it's too much different and their mainman is gone.

Kiske didn't get good until after Helloween. Sure he could hit high notes, but until his voice matured and he struck out to do his thing, he was a one-trick pony.

I prefer Deris not only because I like his voice better, but because I enjoyed Helloween when Deris sung.

Kiske is good, but only after Helloween. Oh yeah, and Keeper of the Seven Keys 1 and 2 didn't really impress me. The Legacy was the best one.

They are versatile. I like most of their work of course. Although I have my favorites. I sad part is that since they released the legacy I kinda lost track of them because I went a different path to prog and such. But the good thing with helloween is that the favorites are kinda immortal. I was 11 when I first started to listen to them (keeper 1,2) and it still rocks my socks off now at the age of 25 so =D.. I still think B.T.R reached a new, higher, level. And it kinda changed me to.
