  • mine is starting to mess up have same car but mine has a rattleing noise coming from it dont know what it could be !!! ahhhhhh

  • @KinggLuiss Perhaps its the under-carrage plastic rattling? thats what happened with mine..easy fix

  • I got 03 Nissan Alt bought it with 20,000 miles it's currently at 96. I will never purchase a Nissan product again it has been a money pit replaced the spark plugs three times new radiator thermostat heater blows cold air a/c blows hot new motor mounts new belt water pump front suspension parts rear suspension parts various censors cause the check engine light turns on at least once a month since about 55,000 miles fucking junk get rid of it

  • The precat was recalled on this model if ur car is consuming to much oil ur to late ur engines fukd as the precat brake apart an enters the engine if u have a header this gets rid of the precat thus saving ur engine but u need a o2 spacer on the second o2 on the header in order for it to run properly

  • when my aunt bought her 03 2,5 back then new within 2000 miles of it was burning oil, she made the dealer swap the engine since it was using about a quart every week, left her stranded after the swap too a few times during the time she had it. got rid of the car in 06, lasted about 3 years and traded that sucker in for a chrysler 300 and says wont ever purchase a nissan again.. Heck it even left me stranded one time killed battery out of nowhere too..

  • @yankeegirl2013 yea but my dad just took the engine apart and found that a bolt from the intake manifold came off loose and went to the first cylinder and the piston got beaten and has to be replaced. Nother thing was that the piston rings completely fused into the piston which is why it was burning so much oil

  • @yankeegirl2013: i have no idea, it's probably been parted out by now, I sold it very cheap

  • @crazyboyz0844: I have headers on the car, the video actually shows them

  • change the pre cat converter ..replace with a header...i did that...now oil is good...

  • @thehottestlove: I didn't, I had to take the loss, nearly $7,000

  • @trae32566 Does that mean the car doesn't run at all anymore? How many miles was on the car when this began to happen?

  • so how did u fix?

  • I got a 02 altima aswell. Uses all the oil up at around 400 miles

  • @Roushe2011 Do you just add more oil after 400 miles? And is the oil leaking?

  • Im gonna not agree with comment below..my mother has a Malibu and it has 100k on the dash and it needs another valve job. The car was excellently maintained over the years yet to this day it just sits in the garage

  • i have the same problem ..i bought a used 2002 altima....burns alot of oil in week, i could see the smoke w oil comin out of the muffler ...mechanics tell me that i might as well get a new engine...idk about that....

  • i have an 05 it is the worst car i have ever owned. dont have 100k on it and the door hinges need replaced door drops when you open it. sometimes it wont start. bad wheel bearings. im forgetting something. the last 4 american cars i have owned made it to 300k and no problems. i will never buy a foreign car again.

  • @rickii2010: Nope, tried that, along with many other things, new coils...new valve cover...

  • plugs or put back in the original cold air intake system

  • @jsnevels2: yeah...that's the problem nissan neglected to mention. or fix, or ever even admit to.

  • change the pluck wire

  • Note: My hand isn't shaking; that's the engine shaking.

  • @trae32566 My moms stock 2003 alti never had that problem .! But the catalytic converter killed our engine going out of town . It just died ! Butterfly screws were a big part in that also 3 of our altima butter fly screws where gone .

  • @jsnevels2 What was the mileage when that happened?

  • @amitkalsi1 The Mileage Was 63,000 . It Happenend In 08 So The Car Lasted For A Good 5 Years. The Butterfly Screws End Up Missing In All Qr25de Is That When The Engine Speed Is Over 5,000 rpm The Butterfly Screws Open To Let More Air In The Intake Manifold Also Making A Deeper Tone. Sounding Like V-Tec Or Whatever. But After The Engine Was Rebuilt Nothing went Wrong . It Was WAY Quicker And She Sold It For 8k Grand And Got A 2008 Altima 2.5SL

  • @jsnevels2 Miles or km? My 02 altima 2.5 is getting a used motor put in as we speak. I asked the mechanic to loctite the butterfly screws & I got a header for it.

  • @amitkalsi1 Miles. Glad You Did That. Hmm How Many Miles Does The Used Motor Have ?

  • @jsnevels2 about 37,000miles on the rebuild. Motor has a stamp indicating it was remanufactured by Nissan in 2007. It came out of an 03 I was told.

  • @amitkalsi1 Nissan Built Your Engine Like A 2005-2006 QR You Should Be Fine W/O The Header Or Loctite . Which I Think The Probably Did. 2005-2006 Had Different Butterfly Screws And The Screen That's In The Pre- Cat Was Pushed Back Futher So It Wouldn't Break Down From Excessive Heat .
