They should have sent k9 in at 1:06, most the time in situations like this the suspects weapon is unloaded, and they normally wont hurt/engage LEO.

@Hooliguhn I don't think there is any reason why not ! As long as you can see clearly with the glasses and you can shoot There should be no reason for your local police force to stop you from at least applying for training.

I wear glasses while shooting all the time admittedly I don't wear corrective lenses BUT That should make no difference either way.

My best advice contact your local police and ask them :-D

You want to scare the suspect into compliance, if you show signs of weakness or friendlyness they're most likely not coming easy. They saved the mans life, thats protecting enough. He didnt just threaten himself he was going to put the cops in danger in order to get them to shoot him. Either way the SWAT is trained to get shit done and do it quick and done well, no bullshit.
