@brrei5131 the bubbles mean that you've incorporated too much air into your custard. this happens when you over-mix, especially with a whisk. try letting it sit for several minutes to let the air bubbles rise to the top. or you can lightly bang the leche flan mold on the counter to help the air rise out of your custard. hope that helps.
My brother-in-law is from The Philippines and introduced me to leche flan years ago. I make a lighter version that uses low fat milk and fewer eggs. Thanks for a great video!

I was with you right till you used imitation vanilla:-( Still I use 18% cream and no condensed milk. I shall have to experiment with the condensed milk and compare them.

you can refrigerate it while waiting dor the caramel to cool down....when you use egg whites you have to strain the mixture twice or or more.... :)
