What I love about Torah is she's just so HAPPY! All the time. Even when she fell the first time in the final she smiled and gave that "oh well, shit happens" shrug.

And on Dale....if he's naturally a very quiet, reserved sort of person then that's who he is. Probably doubly so after feeling he might have been unlucky this time around. Not everyone is an outgoing bundle of fun or a great "character".

He loves his sport and loves winning but even if he won Gold it would have been another day at the office for him... he would rather cheer on a junior that he's coached than carry on about winning himself... hes a very giving quiet guy.

As for Torah, shes an angel and God Bless her for winning, I hope that headache and pain goes away real soon for her...

Smith and his coach appeared on Aussie TV and when the interviewer asked Dale whether he agreed with what his coach was saying, he neither agreed or disagreed and chickened out on saying anything and his coach continued to do the bashing

Also its BULLSHIT to say someone 'isn't capable' of something. The olympics is ALL ABOUT exceeded personal bests and putting in special performances that win you medals. That's what Bilodeau did, but Smith being the douche that he is whines about it

The thing is Dales coach is an expert and many experts agreed with him. I saw the run and thought Bilodeau won because of his great speed.

People complain about Bode MIller being a wild boy and over the top. I love Bode : ) now people complain about Dale being too quiet. We are born who we are or lifes events make us who we are and thats who Dale is. Its no different to people picking on him for being black, having a lisp or having a bad laugh.

I'm not ragging on Dale for being quiet because that is perfectly fine as everyone is born different.

What I am saying about him is that he is the first and only medal winner I've seen that looked somewhere between miserable to indifferent after winning olympic gold in 2006 and silver here. Even at the medal ceremony when the crowds cheered him when he got his medal, he didn't so much as raise a hand to acknowledge them? WTF??

Yet he whines like he cares that he didn't get gold?
