Beautiful man. I'm a finger picker myself (wish I were anywhere near as good as you,) trouble is I suck at singing. As much as I wish I could sing, I'm left to play instrumentals, and sing only when no one else is around! It would be hard to fingerpick as well as you do and sing the song at the same time anyway.

Like you, I love the lyrics of this song, and I agree that the song is ,without a doubt ,stronger with the lyrics, after all that was the intent of Mr. Taupin and Mr. John when they wrote it , but as a solo guitarist, I have to search for songs that can stand alone musically as instumentals... and I've always thought that Daniel was strong enough musically to stand on its' own. @thymol210 Sure is the best solo guitar arrangement. I have looked at a few...it is steve's and then a close second too Peacejoytown. The melody really shines in steves version... and the steel string adds alot too it.... phenomenal... this and red red wine by steve just blows my mind.
