I feel so sorry for you,, this is like 1/8 of iceland, People in reykjavik control this,, Iceland is so so so much more than this.. por people in Reykjavik that has no jobs.. HAHAHAHAHAH
@rulav or 1 of 20 of iceland.. boring when you whoch video from iceland, myvatn and kárahnjúkar. landskape in east and north and west where you can go fising at see and see whales in Husavík. and Akureyri is a butyful place.. and so muce more
@supermanerbestur I don't know about feet but the head is not bad. P.S. The other dude is some bloke from the capital that does not know a thing. Lots of people eat lamb head :)
.... and all because the forefathers were poor!!! *grin*
No surprise my German ancestors left the north and went south to pillage and loot - EVERYTHING but no more rotten fish!
Ah, Scandinavia - beautiful people, beautiful land ... but without doubt the most horrible food in the world!!! Rat cheese in Norway, Surstroming in Sweden and all the rotten fish you could ever dream off ...
Serious, Iceland is still on my 'to go' list - must be a beautiful country.
i love iceland, you know that pilsur (hot dog) stand he was at ive been there, also president bill clinten went there oh and there is kulaport (i think that is how you spell it) right around the corner:) and i love the blue lagoon but if you go to far it burns its SO hot! and i am 12 lol
It's awful isn't it! I hated it! But if you think that is bad, try the rotten eggs they have - left in the warm soils for up to 3 years, then mashed. Absolutely disgusting.
basically they leave eggs in warm, sulfurous soil for about 18 months - 36 months, quite literally. After this, they mash the eggs to a paste, and spread it on thin dark bread. Apparently one of the best delicacies in Iceland, but in my opinion - DISGUSTING.
@DavySigfusson I visit iceland once a month on business, and on a recent social visit, a tour guide for the very well respected air iceland tour company, who himself has lived in Akureyri for 62 years told me this. Your beef is with him my friend!
... Yeah... I asked a friend of mine, and it this is apparently only done in the north, north-east Iceland and the dark bread is most likely rúgbrauð.(rye bread : black bread)
I've never heard of this custom because I've lived most of my life on the western shore.(Snæfellsnes)

It's funny how when people visit another country they always note how friendly the people are; a bit of a cliché...
