Experience plays the most important part. If a Devry University graduate has more experience than you do then also sells themselves better during the interview, you're out of luck with your degree from xyz state university. A degree is not your magic ticket to employment, a bachelors degree is becoming the standard.
Major accounting firms hire top graduates with no work experience. Work experience I guess may matter more when you go to a laughable university like DeVry.
If you can pay for it you get in. No standards whatsoever.

The world isn't fair. Most prestigious employers think DeVry is a laughable university. Most admissions committees at state colleges think Devry grades are inflated. My school sends dozens of graduates to big 4 accounting firms. It has AACSB accreditation. You must take the SAT and score at least decent to make it into my school.
Devry has no test requirement no AACSB accreditation and they are overrepresented in student loan defaults and underrepresented in prestigious companies.
The current loan repayment rate at Devry is 38%. Congress is proposing to cut aid to colleges that have less than a 45% loan repayment rate. The loan repayment rate at my school is well over 95%. Congress isn't investigating high achieving state universities.
For profit schools represent 10% of college students yet 44% of loan defaults. These colleges are fly by night jokes.

It is a business that talks people who can't afford Devry to enroll. Fortunately I will graduate in October with $0 debt. And Devry is not fly by night. They have a huge presence with many schools. Look up Ross University, a Devry-owned medical school producing quality doctors.

He then commented "any university that advertises on Jerry Springer and Maury is a joke". He also went on to say that the accounting and finance department has a consensus of opinion that Congress should invalidate all for profit college degrees after their investigation since they are so laughable.

Most universities require a Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited university to begin a master's program. Devry is a regionally accredited university. I just spoke with an advisor from University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and was informed that they do accept transfer credits from Devry University, since Devry is a regionally accredited university. Is University of Texas a "laughable" institution as well?
I highly doubt they would transfer the majority of your fake credits. I can cite sources for my claims. I don't know if what you are saying is true. Most credits from devry will not count at major universities.
I understand some instructors are qualified but it takes more than a decent instructor to make a good class. Your classmates haven't even taken the SAT or met meager requirements. The argument is not about one teacher in one class it is about the entire institution.
