Great lecture. This show is one that no doubt reveals the obscure genius of Marc Blitzstein. My dad was very aware of the original show and we loved to listen to Barbara's album in the sixties. Barbra surely impressed NY in "I can Get it for you Wholesale." Mark Blitzstein may be best known for the english translation of Mack the Knife. I have learned this show was performed for the ILGWU back in 1937.

This is very entertaining but, Seth, you should have played the whole song WITHOUT INTERRUPTION at the end of the clip so we could appreciate it the way it was intended to be heard - especically since this recording is probably out of print now.
