I knew about all of these except the very first one in Chemical Plant.

Taking the secret path on Level 2-2 is required to get ALL rings. If you finish the level having collected all rings, you get a 50,000 point bonus--which gives you an automatic extra life.

There are none. Apparently, Death Egg was supposed to be a full level, but most of it was cut, save for the two bosses. And so, no rings.

I knew the 5 in GHZ, first 3 in CPZ but the one after that no, CNZ everyone knows THAT, HTZ I know 3 or 4 but not the second one that you had, WFZ I knew. I've gotten stuck in the wall before about the end. SCZ there's a secret that's funny but not benficial: If you spin-dash fast enough, you'll rocket clean off the plane!

I knew about these, well, not sure if I found all those hidden rings and item boxes on the Hill Top Zone before, but I knew about the others, here is a little secret about Sonic 2 too, colloct all the rings and item boxes on a Level and you get a Perfect Bonus, it is something like a extra 50000 points, possible to do on the first two zones but really difficult to do, and is almost imposible on some stages!

The orginial sonic games were so well made... makes me sad that all this charm has been thrown away all for an arcade style of sonic where its all about moving fast. sonic wasnt always about speed. this video proves it. exploration was a key element. and many platforming areas. they were done flawlessly. i can only hope sonic 4 brings back the addictive charm of the originals. mint video by the way. 5/5

@1988martin agreed, i loved these games when i was young, some may flame me for saying this, but i feel sonic adventure 2 was the last really good sonic game. sonic for the 360 wasnt terrible, it had a great story, but there were some flaws in its design, one is a personal taste thing, i felt they should have kept it anime themed, instead of making it look like they were in a world of real people.
