  • And on top of the suntan lotion... why is it in a pink bottle?

    Good review though, buddy :)

  • nice review, i am hoping to see the film at the weekend.

  • 5 StArS************up there Matthew I loved it, Micheal jackson This is it was cool!?!

  • i loved the movie, we never get to see the work that went into a MJ cocnert. he pays attention to every detail. it was only rehersals but he was dancing and singing his lil butt off

  • I haven't seen a concert picture in theaters since Marty Scorsese's "Shine a Light."

Think I may wait for the DVD on this one.

  • GREAT review, I saw it and loved it and couldnt of put it better then you did.

  • Thanks IconMatthew, good overview, but be honest, was it a cash in?

  • You know I can't say it was a cash in, because the audience in the theater was going nuts they really seemed to be going wild especially the older crowd who grew up with him, there didn't seem to be anything exploitative about the film, I cant say it wasn't a cash in, but I feel this was done because people really like MJ.

  • I looooooove exploiting people's deaths.

  • I'm not a micheal jackson fan so I'm probably not going to watch but great review ;D

  • Nice review. Im gonna see it this weekend

  • I feel kind of bad really, like some people are abusing Jackson for money, yah know? It's like the 911 commemorative stuff. But that the same time, I mean who doesnt want to hear his unreleased tracks? You can see both the yin and the yang.

  • Very well said, my man! I agree too. I love Jackson as much as the next guy, but its all been a bit much for my taste at the same time. It was a good. Not amazing, but decent and interesting. Hm! Id say John Lennon reached a level that Jackson did, but its different fields really. Lennon was a much more personal (and humanitarian) act, whereas Jackson was more the performer, if you get my meaning. Some might say Elvis and I can see their meaning, but Ive never been much the fan.

  • yeah all the Jackson worshipping I found kinda annoying though I do see your point with Elvis since he revolutionized male performance on stage

  • Michael wrote most of his songs. The only songs in the movie that he didn't write were the Jackson 5 songs, Thriller, Man in the Mirror, and Human Nature. He wrote all the rest by himself. Lennon was a great songwriter- but would you call him a great singer? Or great performer? Elvis was a performer, but didn't write anything.

MJ wrote great songs, sang the shit out of them, and could dance his ass off. Show me another artist who is great at all 3, then I'll agree with you.

  • true thats why I said MJ was the best
