Unfortunately, there is no way to cheat your way through this mission. It really used to pissed me off, but I got past it a long time ago. I'm on mission #93 right now, so the only advice I have to give to you is to practice flying that same route on your own time. My motivation? I played this when I was mad. So then, I got past it. Weird, huh? I don't know why. Airplane mission aren't hard for me anymore, but just give yourself an extra push. Sorry, you can't cheat through it! Just try harder.

This is so fuckin' hard! Crashed one time in a tree, next time, a HUGE light pole and again a tree! It was only 200 yards left and BOOM in the tree!

Just played this mission last night...(on 6th playthrough...lol) Awesome!! Took a crazy path near the mountain dodging trees and dropping into valleys. Awesome!

Flying through trees are risky, so I fly around. Flying across the town (San Fierro) and head to the South, sticking near the coast.

Following the shoreline is the easiest way to complete this mission. GTASeriesVideos is a pro, so he can make it to the edge of the island without crashing into a tree. I prefer to fly north across the canyon until I reach the ocean, then wrap around Tierra Robada and the west side of San Fierro. It takes a little longer, but it's safer, and there's more than enough time. I get back to the airstrip the same way.
