? The danger in the YouTubization of Dr. Krips' uncensored response lies not in the objective encoding of his message but the subjective decoding by viewers. His reply offers an astute Adorno anecdote. But subsequent email replies unearth an honest admittance to selective ludditism. How will the 14 year-old techno-phenom respond to the notion of a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics (Dr. Krips' pedigree) claiming to not own a cell phone?

After viewing Alex Juhasz' YouTube reading of Henry Krips' response to the generic request for response I can't help but think of the Situationist, Guy Debord's concept of reification or the consideration of an abstraction (such as YouTube and the datasphere might be as situated in some new form of visual epistemology). Does YouTube's reification possess truly human qualities, or simply-put, the "thingification" of human communicative relations?
