  • Nice! Some memories for me as I served a groundcrew and took part in a few Q launches at WTM during the eighties. Thanks for posting this!

  • The Footage was originally shot from the RAF recruiting film 'Intercept' and it was filmed at a number of locations most of which I have served at in one shape or another. The film covered the whole of the UK Air Defence System and the RAF Branches and Trades that supported it, (namely most of them). I would love to see the whole film as it covers a lot of kit I used to work on.

  • Spot the error. Southern QRA scrable. Yet the track on the tote is clearly in the Northern QRA Area. Looks like tote is at RAF Neatishead in the tempory OP's room. The radar on roof gives it away as RAF Bucahn didnt have this.

  • the f4 was the plane i always wanted to fly when i grew up. Best looking aircraft ever.

The vietnam era camoflauge was the best looking imho.

  • Very Cool Video!!!!!!! seeing an F-4 Phantom Responding to an Intruder just gives me a Sense of Pride because the Plane was Made in the USA!!!! thanks for posting!!!!!
