Excellent job with this 3-part video. I'm a Navy civilian stationed in Naples, Italy and just purchased a 2010 Challenger RT Classic. I look forward to similar road trips!
Surprised he failed to mention Briggs Cunningham when he visited Le Mans. Cunningham's car was powered by a Chrysler engine and competed well at Le Mans in the '50s.
LOL, I was in Normandy on D-day weekend and passed a red Challenger SRT, lol, I just thought it was another american coming over from Germany, but I think it was these guys!
ahh ....man just imagine your in that ferry with that same challenger.......and no your gone up for a drink in the restraunt of the ferry..........and now its time and you can get back to the roads..............(the best part).....now your walking upto your challenger proudly....and others looking by ^ ^.....
torque is for sprint and winding roads and uphill, turbo's are for straight high rpm runs,so take your turbo and put it WTSDS,and buy mopar.and don,t forget that your are buying american product that kicks ass for 1/3 the price of a european.
@naturalyshocked It is all a matter of opinion, Europe hates America, and WILL hate their vehicles. No matter how good of quality they are, even if its a Mustang, a ford GT or this Cheverolet cruiz that is on the commercial on my TV right now. I will agree that there are A LOT of waste of vehicles. However they aren't ALL as bad as europe portrays them to be. Most people buy an old crappy vehicle and fix it untill they find another cheap vehicle. well MOST people. Everything else is the Media.
@halflife103 the 09 or 2010 6 spd. manual 5.7 hemi gets very close to the same mpgs as the v6. ive been spoiled by v8s but the new v6's 305hp is nothing to joke about.
@halflife103 yeah and with necessity comes innovation.with gas going the way it is,im excited to see what they come up with to keep our v8s. naturalyshocked is what you would call a "have not". where hes from he dosent have the privilage to own or drive anything like we have over here.they have never driven them sothey dont know what they are talking about and more than half are just plain jealous.america is king of the road and yes the challenger is one of the most coolest and badass out there
@GMCman82 well, American being the king of the road.... that could just be opinion. But I don't care what europe says, North American makes some of the best vehicles. If they really want to see our best. Take a look at a truck. "trucks are just useless gas guzzlers" Pretty sure some of your full sized luxury trucks get better fuel economy than most of their "hypercars".
@halflife103 honestly trucks are far from useless. you can always use them for something. think a prius is going to pull a 10,000 lb trailer? no that is what a truck is for. i actually use my truck and i get as much as 20 mpgs i usually average 18. HOWEVER i very freequently see young guys in giant lifted trucks that probably never leave the pavement or in a boosted diesel with no truck plate or farm tag. its their daily driver, just for making black smoke to make them "cool" THAT is a waste.
@GMCman82 EXACTLY! Trucks are not meant only to look good, they are meant for abuse, and rough roads where cars cannot go. If your gonna lift a truck and put bigger tires on it, it had better have some offroad use. That is why i would not buy a brand new truck, i would be to worried about scratching it up. I mean, no trucks are safe, comfterble and can get you anywhere, in some cases in luxury (if you ahve the money) I think north america makes trucks the best. But europe defines us by cars.
chrysler made the best nascar for the king richard petty,7 championships.chrysler built the hemi that its legand and design is still living today on the drag strip and dominates, chrysler built the hemi cuda and the hemi challanger and the hemi chargers and super bees, that no european or domestic driver wanted to put the title of his car against it on the street or drag strip.
i agree. i'm wanting to wait a while before i buy any chrysler products because i wanna see them use more than cheap rough plastics inside their cars. but we'll see
it's actually not that bad as I thought it would be. i thought it would be all cheap plastic, but the plastic isn't all that bad. the carbon fiber center helps too.
WTF? Driving in twisty mountains is a test for "torque"? Idiotic point...torque is for straight acceleration, stupid. Twisty roads are for smaller, nimble, turbo's! What a douche bag statement. Challenger won't even be on the road long enough before it breaks down and no parts from bankrupted big 3 automakers who fly on private jets and give us the middle finger...
it's a particularly good test for torque-midrange acceleration and in gear acceleration is needed for pulling hard out of bends that slow you heavily.
Mountain roads are a test of torque the more you have the easier it is to go up as opposed to small turbo motor where you have to keep them revved up because they have a tendency of developing peak power at higher rpm. On the other hand if you have a large you achieve taht torque at low revs hence making your drive easier.
fucking england i swear. all over europe people are chill as fuck but the damn british are so worried about people getting in. i mean come on they were entering from france, from a eu contry to another eu contry. pull the stick out of your ass england...
Hi - this isn't spam or anything - just wanted to advise people in the UK to only use ParkMark car parks. I done a vid - its not great or anything so please don't message saying its s**t lol, it was just what happened. Thanks everyone.

but european cars have better interiors, higher quality materials.
this garantees a good resel value.
i understand the patriot, but you must agree that most americans cars sucks.
and the fortune your spend on the gasstation.
the pevious episode stated 170us$ for the tank in the car.
man i can drive 4 to 8 weeks for this money and i enjoy pushing the padle to the metal in curved roads like shown here.
the v8 is a pretty lazi engine, witch takes forever to acellerate.
naturalyshocked 2 years ago
a hothatch gti is far more interresting on roads like these.
something you can't do with this car, the weigth of the trunk and engine.
i wouldn't trust my life in such car while doing almost double the max speed alowed on a curved road like show in this video.
the new ford fiesta has a cooler sporty behaviour.
naturalyshocked 2 years ago
hothatch gti? LOL.
You forgot one thing; the Challenger is way cooler.
directorjustin 1 year ago
no it isn't.
it's an impractical car, way to BIG, but i gues americans have peanets in their brains.
still don't understand their cars don't sell, hence Chrysler needed an infuse from fiat. GM died and got rerived by the state.

@naturalyshocked Personally, i would get this car in the V6. As i like the styling and don't need the power, but want the Fuel Economy.

ins't Dodge, who make the chargers and the challengers???
esck21 2 years ago
nascar is boring, dragracing is mindles 'racing', kindergarten for daddy's.
the reason they use pushrod engine on the dragstrip, because they are junkyard engines.
cheap to fix/repair, cheap to tune, modifying existing parts.
just like we di with our 50cc moped engines.
i'm sure any bmw m3 with a rigged v8 or lexus. could do nice timings.
but you can't find parts for these on the junkyard.
i'm 100% sure that it wil cost ya much much more money to tune a otther engine than a pushrod v8.
