Sorry about that, apparently I was battling an allergy, got it under control pretty well now, thanks for your comments, I appreciate them!! The Mag stick will always work, thats what I like about it, if conditions are tough, scrape more shavings first. Have a Great Day!!
I always carry a lighter and the Mag Stick and usually something else, like Piston or Steel. But I don't use the lighter generally because I want to practice the alternate methods. A lighter is great but they can fail, so I like a back up.

@imanoob4 not sure, probably not, if you can't bring more than 3 oz of shampoo, then the mag stick is most likely off limits.

Hi Perry .
What do you think about holding the striker still & pulling the firestick back ?
Its slightly more effort to get a spark but yer less likely to have to restart the process .
