Hi Sherry,your kids need you, get some help!! There is so much help out there. Downtown eastside will eat you up and spit you out!! You are going to die and your kids will have no Mom. You sound like you have an education of sorts. We all have ahd hard times, drugs don't help they help you die. You will miss so much in life.Please get help, you do not need drugs to feel normal, you need. Denial is your friend right now. We care about you!!!
@Swallowchllorox I think the key to improving their quality of life is to provide them with something that would keep them occupied and something they would enjoy more than drugs. I think the society should develop programs where these people would get a more personal care, daily care - like kids in a kindergarden. Instead of just sending them to 'quick' detox and rehab programs that don't really provide them with strong motivation for the future.
Society should try and help them. We are all on drugs (cigarettes,aspirin,alcohol,dristan, ect) In addition to police, we need nurses on the east side of Vancouver. We need to turn the drug war into a health issue and not a criminal issue.
Great interview, seems like a very intelligent lady. But really what should the society do with addicts like her that don't even try to get off drugs. And I seriously doubt her drug use has not affected her kids.

@MilitaryDisiplin What do you think would help her live a more stable or typical life? Besides, of course, quitting drugs.
