Stand up comedy is based on distaste and not political correctness. I find it very annoying that he would be shunned as an actor and expected to apologize. Good jokes are always offensive to some people, but you are a poor sport if you can't take it and don't belong at a stand up show. If every comedian had to apologize for every distasteful black joke, chinese joke, or gay joke ect..you would have no more stand up. The whole purpose is to be funny, if you don't like it then don't see the show. I don't personally see the humor but I have noticed that in male black culture that being gay is much less acceptable and being a "man" is emphasized.
