1:22 - bad luck he loops his main sheet around the buoy and STOPS on a dime! That I have never seen, but have done pretty much every other screwup out there. I sail my laser out of Alameda and it often gets interesting around 3PM.

you can avoid that ind of problems by pulling your sheet between the last two blocks.

it would be alot easier if when they capsized, they hold onto the mainsheat and lean back on the centreboard

you usually only do that when you cant bring it over, because the main could easily get tangled on something

it works better on boats with sidestays since you can just wrap the bowline around the stay

no laser mast are pretty dam strong and because there a perfect circle unlike a lot of mast they dont really have weak points they will bend when your sailing but it would break before it bent to the point that it stayed bent
