  • thanks so much for posting this video! i was desperately searching for an easy fix for falls, i only have 5 days to make them XD

you should do a tutorial on how to make 2 colored ones ^^

  • I'm making some right now, it took me a try or two to get them to look right but theyre so awesome once you get the hang of it. This is the fastest and simplist way I have come across for making these that actually look good. thanks for sharing

  • Wow, thank you so much for sharing! These dread falls are awesome, and surprisingly easy to make. I think these are the best looking dread falls here on youtube. ^^

  • How many strands of yarn can you use to make 1 or 2 pigtails? This is an aswome video and it help me alot 'cause I was thinking of doing a gothic fairy for halloween this year and don't know how to wear my here. Thanx for this tutorial!

  • nice

  • I tried doing so, but mine look untidy o__o

They dont untwist, but look really untidy u__u

  • And they don't come untwisted?

  • that is awesome I'm going to make my self some yay thank you for showing that

  • hey, how many dreads woul you need 2 make a half-head fall, mine are half the size of yours. THNX

  • I do not have the hair pony tail things so could i use like craft ribbon stuff?

  • @dravynslilvamp Yesh :) but you need to tie them REALLY tight or they fall off when you dance.... (>.>)(<.<) just sayin' lol. you can also use eastic ribbon :D

  • For anyone who IS having difficulties w/this project, (i.e. your yarn isn't twisting correctly), it is probably because you need to make sure when you start out, that both batches of the yarn are twisted the same direction (like she says in the vid, she twists 'em counterclockwise), and then when you twist those bunches together, you need to twist them together the opposite direction (in the vid, she twists them clockwise).

Hope it works for you, now! :D

And awesome vid, great project! ^_^

  • thiss is pretty cool

  • hey thanks... i have a huge ball of yarn (imn talking bigger than my head) and didnt know what to do with it... hello yarn falls that look pretty good!

  • my falls wont twist :S my elastic just twist what am i doing wrong :@

  • nice idea.

    thanks so much.

  • Wow this is cool, I am totally going to try it! Thanks! ;)

  • Wonderful vid! I liked it! Could the yarn possibly be felted to make it look slightly more natural??

  • You'd probably have to make them a lot bigger than usual though, since stuff shrinks as it felts, but I think it would look cool.

  • wow brill video, it looks so much easier than i thought!

Can't wait to try it out :D

    Thanks!

  • I really think this was uber creative and awesome. Thanx 4 posting it doode...*smilz*

  • Awesome Luv your way! Thanx 4 posting this!TTFN!!!

  • I love this! I'd been trying to do twist falls but it was taking me forever the way I was doing it, and thats just so... simple! I love it! They look great!

About how many twists would you have on an elastic (medium thickness) for a pair? I need to make a bunch for preforming in and for a few skits so I'll be using this method for sure!

  • haha i thought you were gonna pull out more they came outta nowhere haha anywho thanks for making this i always wonder how this works haha

  • Hey for those who watch this...here is a helpul hint...If they dreads start for fall apart or unravel...just use clear elastics. Sry i dint put that in earlier. When i made this i didnt have the rubberbands. Hope your falls come out great! Thanks for watching! *hugs

  • WOW! thanks so much for this video :) love it. Thanks alot. I'm subscibing :)

  • those are awesome, i actually made a pair with synthetic hair and while they looked great, they're REALLY heavy, so i'm gonna try yarn...do you remember how much yarn you used to make a pair as full as those blue ones?

  • Thank you so much for this video. (I don't think I've ever thanked someone for a video.. lol)

This is exactly what I was looking for. You got to the point and didn't waste time cutting and measuring and making small talk like I saw on other videos. Thank you!

And I agree, the dreads are my favorite too.

  • omg that was fantastic. I have been looking for away to make mine thicker and have not found any as quick and as easy as this. thank you soooo much

  • Thanks :)

  • oh my gosh your yarn falls are sooo cute im so going to try it your way!!!
