Well, for one thing I don't care one way or another as long as it's no a hassle. I was trying to show some people that sometimes you gotta do things (no matter how unbelievable) to get a move on!! But you gotta admit that's it's not pleasant dragging a 10 kg carry on out of the terminal to the aircraft with 35 deg C heat and the sun beating down on you!!
So wats amazing in it, why dont u see that plane comes to the doorstep of customer lounge, hardly 50 mtr walk from Customer lounge to plane............so dont be ashamed...........but feel proud that place comes to you .......you dont need to go to apron or runway :-)) :-))

@ghuamlocal Sometimes, you have to step off the plane and walk on the tarmac even at Paris de Gaulle airport. Both you and your friends in the USA need to stop being a frog in a well.
@ghuamlocal In America, I have had to walk to the plane several times in Philadelphia and NY La Guardia. There are probably a few more major US airports where you can do that. Besides, walking to the plane is also the only way at small US airports like Westchester, NY or Ithaca, NY.
Nothing out of the ordinary! Walking upto the aircraft, and from the aircraft, used to be commonplace even in New Delhi, and Chennai. It is still in vogue at Coimbatore, Trivandrum, Dabolim (Goa) and several other airports in India, where buses for passengers are not there.
