With the backs only running three yard patterns nobody has to cover that , they need to get to the second level to create the spacing between linebackers and defensive backs. Like everybody seems to do to use week in and week out.

Portis gets to the hole so slow the play is already over. He doesn't fake the play action plays and leave Jason out to dry cuz he doesn't get five yards up field . The one time he did he caught a touchdown. sellers did the same thing . If you don't move the safties it's very difficult to pass down field.

This is one time I have to disagree with the Riggo. The system wacky as it was worked. The skins missed two opportunities , but the speed of the play calls were fast and the offense did move the ball. They had time outs at the end of the game and got use out of the draft picks collecting dust under zorn. No it's not the way it's done, but it was an improvement. No I don't know why portis is upset he's running so light the wind blows and he falls down.

RIGGO--love how you "Tell it like it is" and it is refreshing to listen to someone that is also Old School. I watched the Skins ever since my dad sat me down to see a Redskins/Colts game on TV back in 1956 and wish someone could turn back the clocks to the days when YOU played. My brother Rocky talks about you all the time ever since you took your old Bronco to his maint shop off Kenilworth ave in Bladensburg back in the 80's. Good analogy with the Clint Eastwood movie but I think the Pee Wee Herman movie Pee Wees big adventure reminds me of the Team. When Pee Wee goes to the Biker bar, and bumps into the Motorcycles out front and the all fall down. This reminds me of these litle dinky teams that have run over our offensive line. The team has no direction, and no one has the nerve to stand up to Snyder.

I'm looking forward to your thoughts on how Cerrato said we had a playoff caliber team at the start of the season, when we had the thinnest offensive line in the NFL in terms of depth. I didn't see any great blocking in ANY part of the preseason and it carried into the regular season. These guys are going to get some people killed.

Because I can't imagine an NFL owner being this dumb, I now wonder if my theory is correct. Here it is- Snyder is following the mantra of "even bad publicity is good publicity". Realizing this team has no other chance of keeping the fans interested in the team, he's decided to go where no other owner has gone and thus keep the fan based "tuned in" to what will happen next. Actually John, three guys are calling the plays. A few times during the game Zorn still called some plays himself.

Next they're going to be taking play cards out to the huddle. This was actually allowed by my team's coaches for our opponents in a junior high game once because the other school was really small or had a bunch of "special" kids or something.

I love you man. Riggo, would you please coach our team? Manage?, asst. coach? anything please. I'm begging you. I've been a Redskins fan my whole life. I've taught my boys to be Skins fans. We live in TX and yet my 11 year old - 6th grader mind you - wears maroon and gold and straps a Redskins backpack on his back everyday, no matter what. His team executes better than we do.
