  • The worst is when you see people trying to outrun the ambulance

  • What camera setup are you using?

  • wow .. author , keep up the respectful driving .. u did a great job ... respect

  • lolz what idiots.

  • Idiot driver: Duuuh derpy herp. OH SIREN

Ambulance: Move to the right.. THE OTHER RIGHT

Idiot driver: Dude... HOW MANY RIGHTS ARE THERE? D:

  • Most of these idiots on the road are just far too busy to be bothered with moving over for an ambulance because, as you stated in the video, they are likely either on their God-damn PHONE or listening to music so loud it would split your eardrums if a normal person were to hear it.

This shit is what causes an ambulance to be out there in the first place.

  • I work EMS.... This happens ALL to much! Just NEVER dead stop in front of an ambulance- the brakes in those things aren't as great as u'd think!!!

  • nice video for proper education and reminder as well, the awareness of safety, being smart and educated driver liked you who has the right to possess a driver's license........... thanks safesmartdriver

  • I see too much of this (not you; the other drivers). This kind of activity highlights why drivers ed needs to be sort of a recurring thing. Not just when you get your license, but every 10 years or so.

  • Amazing. We really need to beef up driver education in this country... At least you knew what was up. :-p

  • To the right, to the right, everyone move ova to the right...

Beyonce needs to make a remix for first responders ;D

  • MOVE TO YOUR RIGHT.....Not THAT RIGHT!!! YOUR OTHER RIGHT, wait we only have 1 right

  • LOL "Move to the right" "YOUR OTHER RIGHT".

  • "Your OTHER right!"

  • I am a Firefighter in Texas, I cannot stress enough how frustrating this is, We go through it almost every run. Thank you for doing the right thing, it helps us get to the emergency that much quicker. And in this job, speed is everything.

  • Thanks Safesmartdriver for this video... I work in the EMS field this is an everyday occurrence, but if the ratard that doesn't know right from left, if he/she knew that one of his/her family members was in the back it would be a different story. I hope that the 232,700 views of this video everyone takes a little bit from it PULL TO YOUR RIGHT AND STOP not slow down STOP!!!

  • this goes to show ya' about 10% of drivers are really aware of what there doing.

thank you safesmartdriver. i wish there were more of you here in manhattan!

  • i think people who don't pull over for ambulances (or any other emergency vehicles) should't be allowed to drive.

  • lmao thats classic

  • Awesome

  • Ok that was hilarious ! Your other right ! The you tube line made the video. Gotta love you tube. Very funny. Some of these videos that give ya a chuckle are worth posting.

  • SERIOUSLY! I couldn't agree more with what you said in the video. No wonder people die waiting for an ambulance to arrive. Stupid drivers don't even know what kind of trouble they cause.

  • HAHA!!! the driver or whoever was hilarious. "MOVE TO YOUR RIGHT!.....YOUR OTHER RIGHT!!" HAHAHA!!!!!

  • Move to your right. The other right. lol

  • Thank you for posting this! I work on an Ambulance myself this is more common than you think, Of course thats the first time I have ever heard of EMS personnel get on the PA and tell them to move LMAO! Just think people we could be going to one of your relatives. Thanks for pulling over too who ever you are

  • Yeah.... about those PA systems.... Too much fun.

  • I work on a ambulance, and people will actually complain or flip us off if we use the intercom to tell them to move over.

  • @emtdj1974 wow really? some people are just stupid. dont they know by them interfering, a person could die

  • your other right haha

  • lol...your other right...lmao!

  • lol, I've said it over the intercom before, funny to see it on video though! and yeah people do quite often fail (refuse) to move for emergency vehicles!

  • good thing the paramedics have a sense of humor.

  • hahaha that was awesome...i gotta do that when some a hole dosent get out of my way when im flying hot

  • That's sad. I wish there were more courtesy on the roads.

  • Darn! People sure get more stupid as time goes by. Drivers here in North Carolina as pretty discourteous as such and many of them came from elsewhere. This is becoming a very common tale in this day and age.

  • Aren't emergency vehicles allowed to drive on the hard shoulder as they are in the United Kingdom? Even still, the others should have moved out the way, bet it would be different if it was one of them or one of their relatives who had phoned an ambulance :\

  • Oh you'd be surprised what people will do, there are stories about people stealing from the back of amubulances, I work in a hospital myself and on the way to work it's amzing how many people don't give way to them ... pull right over, there is someone in much more need than you at that moment.

  • lmfao thats hilarious lmfao "move to the right, your other right" lmfao

  • lol that was a good catch from the PA system

  • ROFL

  • move to the right....your other right hahahaha nice

  • You are too generous on your view of human nature. So SURELY they would have inconvenienced themselves by pulling over had they not been on their "cell phones". Reality check. People do not care about other people 90% of the time.

  • when people say they dont hear the siren then a department needs to invest in the howler EMSA in Oklahoma city has them on all of there trucks it is a subwoofer not only do you hear them coming but you can also feel it too I dont know what the price of it is but it is cheaper than a life I know that

  • haha so very true!!! I'm an EMT and no one listens when lights and siren are on!!!

  • thank you for posting this....it really is amazing how stupid people are...esp if they dont know left from right let alone move out of the way when there are flashing lights and sirens behind them

  • To safesmartdriver: Sir, I must say you are by far one of the best drivers i have seen in a long time. I am a Police Officer in Maryland and people will not move no matter how many lights or sirens we have. It would be nice if there were ALOT more drivers like you out there!! Keep doing whats right:) you make all the difference in the world to us! Thank you

  • Hahaha!

Thanks for posting this! I'm an EMT and people seriously never pull over!

    They are a-holes! lol

  • hahha you're other right. I drive off the road any chance i get for them. My friend is a EMT driver and he says people like that can make the difference between life and death. So think about it is it that hard to move over? So what you get there a min late. Save a life get out of the way!

  • haha i love this...but this is a serious thing..if i am driving i just hit the big air horn we have on our truck

  • Aye, drivers can be very dense. I remember while I was on my EMT-A practicum years ago, we were doing a red call (means code 3) at night. There was this one driver that we pulled up behind and he wasn't moving as we went along thr road. We used every single siren tone we had, including the horn and we were lit up like a Christmas tree!!! Finally, one of the Paramedics shawn the spot light across the idiots back window, and he finally realized we were behind him and pulled over.

  • 2 things ...not getting over and following them on an interstate.. i saw the latter this weekend... people were behind it doing 90

figuring the ambulance was clearing a path for them too

  • I can attest to this to. People just do not move for ambulances anymore, some of these people-we're behind them for a while before they finally pull over. Some of them will even flip you the bird while doing it. Our new unit has more sirens and lights than anything else I've seen around here....so if you see us....MOVE :)

  • I only seem to have a problem with the later model cars. Even with the "q" siren on the engines is hard to hear in newer cars.

  • I love the comment from the paramedic, "Pull to the right. No, your other right." Classic.

People sometimes just don't see or hear us for whatever reason. With all the fancy sirens we have, I still find I get people to finally move over by simply using the car horn on the ambulance...works every time.

  • idiots.. people need to just hang up and drive!! How hard is it?

  • i was taking my daughter to upmc childrens following the ambulance and some jackass was in the left lane doing 50 in a 65 zone and would not pull over

    GET OFF THE DAMMN ROAD

  • Was your daughter in the ambulance? Was it going with it's lights and sirens on? If so, you should NOT have been following right behind it. Family members following ambulances through red lights and everything is what causes accidents.

  • its very common. people are ignorant and just plain dumb. we have an airhorn that scares the crap out of people and they just stop right in front of us. thanks for following the law!

  • i always move over and even stop if nessecery when i see emrgency lights on my tailgate.

EMEGENCY LIGHTS AND SIRÈN = GET OUT OF THE WAY AND STAY THERE. right

  • I've never used the PA on our ambulance. People just don't care anymore. They won't move out of the way or watch what they are doing. I've almost been hit at intersections because people don't see us or hear us coming. So far no accidents though!

  • dude i swear i hate people honestly. you know people like that would bitch because the ambulance didnt get to them in time but if its any body else o well their thought is lets go faster so i dont have to stop because if i stop for 3 seconds im going to be late to get home and talk on my cell phone. fuckin bullshit. Man there are so many arrogant people these days. correct me if i misspelled but i really hope people pay attention or get a reality check when it comes to their families

  • Very common. That and going through intersections when people will not stop and then look right at you while they proceed through the intersection as your stopped with lights and sirens on.

  • ykno i dont agree with alot of laws but this is just common sense come on people

  • Its a common problem we have on ambulance calls.People on phones or not paying attention makes it so much fun.

  • I agree. People are distracted by many things, cars are engineered to drown out sirens...but there are a few out there who simply don't give a shit.

I actually had a motorist flip me the Bird one day when I was running emergency and he would not yield.

  • A woman I worked with was crushed to death in her car at an intersection in our town by a fire truck when it overturned onto her vehicle. Reason? Morons would not move for the emergency vehicle. There can be very dire results from not knowing how to drive (or just being stupid & selfish). I admire you for doing the right thing and helping us all.

  • Heh wonder if THEIR grandfather was bleeding to death from shutting the toilet lid on his thing again, would they move over?

  • lol yea it could be family or anyone lol

  • Well, of course, we all know those people are much more important than all the rest of us. They're much more important than the emergency vehicles. And that when they come around, when they want to change lanes and go through red lights, we're all supposed to make way for them.

  • Your right about people not pulling over for rescue workers, and about the cell phones. People need to realize that when your on a phone you are totally distracted at times.

  • In Bangor Maine I see TONS of people each and every day run red lights or won't move for an emergancy vehicle. One pet peeve of mine is that sometimes we will miss our green light because a steady streem of cars is running a red light. The person behind will see the car in front run the red light so in their tiny minds they think that gives them permission to run the light too. It's nuts.

  • its very common for people to not pull over im a fire fighter and it happens all the time one of my rigs wa almost hit my a vihical that passed us on the right as we were trying to make a right had turn coming back from a call

  • i saw a similar thing happen before, only with a fire truck.

  • "Move to the right!... your other right!" Lol!

  • Youre a good driver!!!

  • a+thancks!!!!

  • quality!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dumb asses, people need to to learn how to respect flashing lights.

  • True.

  • that happens to me aswell... and if your wondering im a copper... its just idiots that panic when they see blue lights flashing in there rear view mirror

  • Happens ll the time. I hate when people do not get out of my way and then they are the first ones to whine when you "take to long to get there."

    Jersey EMT

  • I've seen this kind of thing around in my area, stupidity is pandemic in this country these days.

  • Lol.. "Your other right" haha

  • ur other right! good thing u put dat on utube! what a MORON!

  • lol move to the right, your other right lol. nice

  • I work on an ambulance in Illinois as an EMT and I can tell you that sadly, this video doesn't even show how bad it truly is. It is more unsafe to drive an ambulance with the lights and siren than it is like any other regular car. I think we should be able to turn people in for being stupid around us.....

  • weld on a huge front bumper and give the cars that dont move a lil push in the but, maybe theyll learn ;)

  • Paying absoutley no attention to whats going on around them..typical.

  • good move dude.

  • Whats sad is I've seen this many times and not just Ambulances being blocked, police cars too but no fire trucks but then again even the blind or def should know when they see a big red loud box.

  • Nice...that was gr8!

  • holy crap that's awesome!!

ppl who don't pull over to the right for ambulances need to be shot--then they can appreciate the idea of ppl pulling over for their ambulance.

  • move to the right...ur other right! lol

  • lol

  • good job :)

  • your a very smart driver. i respect that.

  • It's just rediculous that they didn't move.

  • I can't understand why people just can't use their brains! How in the world some people are actually given licenses is beyond me!

  • just goes to show what a crazy system of things we live in!! should never have left the horse & cart times least back then you never had the accidents we have now , you led the horse an he took you in one piece to your destination none of this smashed to smitherines stuff !!

  • you are an awesome driver good job

  • Thats funny i do this for a living and ive had people honk at me while were sitting at a stop sign with our lights on trying to start iv and ive even have one ask the driver why were stopped and blocking traffic.

  • Congrats on doing the right thing. Since ratings have been disabled: *****

  • silly ambulance drivers

  • funny!!

  • LOL. That was great.

  • "...your OTHER RIGHT...." lol
