It was an odious reference. As a presidential candidate she should have known better. In journalism you learn these things early on. Keith's remarks were passionate, but appropriate.

The context of her statement makes it clear that she is giving multiple examples of primary fights that went well into the summer. Every other journalist who heard her statements understood that. But Olbermann, in a state that borders on psychosis, latches onto a single word and reads an entirely different message than anyone else. Then he proceeds to rant for several minutes in prime time about a plot that only he sees.
Hillary and Keith have (perhaps unwittingly) magnified or brought into focus what is likely a very real (albeit unthinkable) threat. I suspect Hillary may be cluing us in on some inside info she may have; Keith is doing the obligatory slap-down. Because of this, and McCain's advanced age, we have to pay very close attention to VP choices.

American Idol, despite some of its flaws, is really not a bad program. In some ways it is a throwback - it's just plain old entertainment, simple singing and dancing. It is certainly more wholesome and intrinsically better programming than much of the profanity, crudeness and dumbed-down crap on the air. I would be more comfortable with children watching it than any sitcoms. I digress...
O'Reilly is only marginally better to me because he does present views with considerably less drama than Olbermann. Olbermann's style is laughable and his diatribes are ridiculous in scope and in length. Neither of them are particularly interesting other than the humour of their presentations. The really great humour of Olby's histrionics is that he is trying so hard to beat O'Reilly, yet he never comes close.Neither has anything of value to say but it is funny to watch them act out their roles.
It is probably unfortunate that politics is debated this way but if people tune in to watch, at least they're involved at some level. If Olby's show is your cup of tea, well different strokes for different folks. I may not agree with your view but I do support your right to express it.

Burton gave his interpretation, that's what hacks do. That's what McCain or Hillary's hacks would have done. They all have hacks. Don't get upset at Olbermann. He's being rational and evenhanded. He didn't say that her comments were directed at Obama. He made two points: in any political context her comments were in bad taste and showed poor judgment and that her comments are politically expedient only if they refer to Obama. Otherwise they were simply irrational. Either way it's a bad sign.
It's an irony that a Clinton apologist would suggest anyone else think for themselves. Obama has never asked her to leave, he had never used the same tactics against her, yet she cries media bias and claims, like other Republicans, that her words were taken out of context. Most of Obamas voters are educated individuals with higher incomes so even if McCain gets to be pres. They will be able to adjust financially. Hillary supporters will just lose out. It's pretty clear that Clinton's remark was intended to answer her critics who have encouraged her to drop out of the race. She was making the point that often the primary season is not over until June. So why should she drop out before everyone has voted?

Amazing ...absolutely amazing.
The context of her statement makes it clear that she is giving multiple examples of primary fights that went well into the summer. Every other journalist who heard her statements understood that. But Olbermann, in a state that borders on psychosis, latches onto a single word and reads an entirely different message than anyone else. Then he proceeds to rant for several minutes in prime time about a plot that only he sees.

Also consider Bill's show has been on the air for eleven yrs and Keith Olbermann's Countdown for five. Thus he has a built in audience which has become stagnant, whereas Keith's continues to grow.

American Idol, despite some of its flaws, is really not a bad program. In some ways it is a throwback - it's just plain old entertainment, simple singing and dancing. It is certainly more wholesome and intrinsically better programming than much of the profanity, crudeness and dumbed-down crap on the air. I would be more comfortable with children watching it than any sitcoms. I digress...

Olbermann's style is laughable and his diatribes are ridiculous in scope and in length. Neither of them are particularly interesting other than the humour of their presentations. The really great humour of Olby's histrionics is that he is trying so hard to beat O'Reilly, yet he never comes close.Neither has anything of value to say but it is funny to watch them act out their roles.

Burton gave his interpretation, that's what hacks do. That's what McCain or Hillary's hacks would have done. They all have hacks. Don't get upset at Olbermann. He's being rational and evenhanded. He didn't say that her comments were directed at Obama. He made two points: in any political context her comments were in bad taste and showed poor judgment and that her comments are politically expedient only if they refer to Obama. Otherwise they were simply irrational. Either way it's a bad sign.

Most of Obamas voters are educated individuals with higher incomes so even if McCain gets to be pres. They will be able to adjust financially. Hillary supporters will just lose out. They don't have the education to compete for higher paying jobs that take care of their health care anyway, they like Obama because he doesn't want to practice the divisive politcs of the past, but they will still be able to afford the higher gas bills and health care.

You're looking at the wrong numbers. Not one national poll has McCain ahead right now. He is either tied with Obama or Obama is beating him. A new poll was just released in Ohio with Obama leading by 9.
85% of the country thinks we're on the wrong track. Those are the numbers that you and John McCain should be afraid of and pay attention to when thinking of the possiblity of a McCain Presidency or should I say a Bush third term. It just won't happen.

Within one week, Hillary and Huckabee both fantasize publicly about Obama being assassinated. That is sick, that is twisted, that is utterly unacceptable. No question about it.
There is another question to be answered, however. Will we, the American people, allow these vicious slimeballs to get away with such contemptible behavior?
It does appear the media (aside from Olberman) is willing to let them play that game. I am outraged by such disregard for democratic standards.

The point she was making was "I should stay in the race in case Obama gets assasinated". That is the only reason to bring up RFK.Did RFK make a great comeback in the race n 1968? No, the only note on that was that he was KILLED! And her comment on Bill when he won-he had the race all wrapped up except California made it "official". Do you not see how frightening it is to see someone claim that she could be there in case her opponent is ASSASINATED!

Check out what she says. What was the purpose of bringing up RFK? Did he make a miraculous comeback to take the nomination is June, as she is attempting to do? No. Then in her "apology" she says she was thinking of the Kennedys because of Ted. Well then, was she thinking of them in March, when she first brought up the point(3/6 Time)? she could have used Carter, Reagan, or other candidates who clinched in June.
