Does anyone have an intro of this game show from the Combs era with Rod Roddy announcing, just like what he did in the early 1980s when Dawson was emcee?
This was probably the second half of the show, since the "New Family Feud" was an hour show....... unless of course the syndie used this version. The New Family Feud was 10AM, right before The Price is Right; I remember watching it as a child.
Also, if you look closely in the center of the bullseye there is a box. Basically there is a TV monitor inside of the bullseye board that displays the amounts/answers. Trust me I thought the same thing, almost like what they did during Dawson's 1994 feud, by superimposing an actual game board over the electronic side of the board.
Each question requires the number one answer only. The questions are worth $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, and $5,000 respectively. The teams begin with $5,000, and the bullseye adds to the fast money round jackpot. Getting all five bullseye questions means $20,000 could be paid out, probably the reason the payoff today is $20,000.
if the first thing u'd done after u clicked on this video was WATCH it, then surely u'd have known what the bullseye game was without needing to ask that question
Actually, it airs as part of a marathon promoting the new Primetime Family Feud on June 29. Ray Combs officially returns to the schedule on a regular basis on July 21. Here's hoping they will complete the syndicated run right to the end this time around and go back to the beginning of the CBS era and stay on the air for longer this time.
W2hy would they call the syndie show THE NEW Family Feud and not just Family Feud?

What was so bad about the New Family Feud?

In hindsight,I thlught the Bullseye Round just slowed down & detracted from the game.
landrykkb 2 years ago 4
it sure did.

It really does slow the game down. Why they brought it back is beyond me. At least it goes quicker now.
Another thing, Ray looks silly carrying the microphone around. They should've just stuck with the wireless mic.

Why couldn't they name it the New Family Feud when the show returned in 1988?
nextbarker 3 years ago
Good question. They should have.
mooky9669 2 years ago
Nice wide shot of the stage from 0:21 to 0:24! You can actually see the audience! You don't see that in the intros of other versions of Family Feud.

Actually, the daytime 1-hour show was the "Family Feud Challenge", & the syndicated "New Family Feud" was still a half-hour.

When did they start using the whistling affects on the Family Feud when the audience applauds?
ryanpreston84 3 years ago
Early 1990.

Yeah I always wondered if it was a Chyroned image or if there was a monitor on the Bullseye.
Lottech96 3 years ago
There are words on the monitor. The TV camera changed the effect.

He started carrying a cordless at the beginning of his 3rd season as host of the show.

...since the earlier CBS episodes have not been shown on GSN since 2001 and 2002.

Ok, so this is the syndicated version of Feud and not the daytime Family Feud Challenge.
I heard the daytime show hasn't been re-aired in over 10 years!
the69chevykid 3 years ago
yeah, this is the syndicated version.
