This is simply because they are taking something that they do not understand nor do they possess the talent or ability to utilize it's latent potential. It's better that they leave these gems behind and rather invent their own garbage, but they don't even have the creativity or vision for that!

@MegaRYANNNNNNN Potentially so, but you must remember that this would simply be ANOTHER, yes, that's right, ANOTHER case of a 00s movie etc being propped up by a 90s or preceding decade icon. How many actors has the 00s produced? How mant things are truly iconic? Pirates of the Caribbean? That's about it. Even then Bloom and Knightley were truly awful. No, the 00s have been drab to the core. Very little if anything good about it. It's a new Dark Age, in more ways than one!

There are many cartoons nowadays that are good. The Thundercats reboot comes to mind. I would like to see them continue something like Swat Kats or the He-Man reboot from 2002 though.

@GuyverU01 They are all garbage! The only thing worse than the garbage they come up with is their neverending famine of ideas, thus they delve into past eras to drag their icons through the mud. Very tragic. Seeing as you like the 00s so much, you probably will be happy to hear that there is a reboot of Total Recall, yes in the whored out, money making trilogy format. Very sad times.

@Blitzbok There's only so many ideas out there dude. I mean, look at what we have to deal with nowadays: Adventure Time, level up, regular show. Compared to those, stuff like the He-Man and Thundercats reboots and Swat Kats are awesome. Plus, the reason I like the reboots is because they're able to do more with animation now. Do you remember the original He-Man?

@GuyverU01 I agree that aesthetics can be improved in some areas but overall most things do not have the quality of older cartoons. Everything is going the way of CGI which overall looks out of place and forced. Not much artistry going on. My sister and myself have quite honestly come up with more ideas than these buffoons. What really made this (and other 90's cartoons great) was the script. It's ..... genius. Funny yet well written adults could watch it and laugh, great vocabulary words...etc.

Cartoons today lack this big time. It's either too sexual or too childish. This was that perfect balance all toons in the 90's had. God I miss these days.

Many advertisers only wanted cartoons that catered toward young children, since adults wouldn't buy products from children's ads. Cartoons that attracted adults, despite their popularity, drew the ire of advertisers, forcing networks to eventually pull them in favor of the more childish ones.

Hey, Nick also owned Animaniacs & Pinky and the Brain after both shows left both Kid's WB and CN, so...Besides, TTA first aired on Nick before Kid's WB actually got off the ground, just like Animaniacs and Batman aired on FOX alongside the original Power Rangers (which Saban recently brought back from Disney and now loans to Nick for a pretty sum).

this is one of my favourite TTA episodes, thanks for posting it.

btw at 2:38 the back of Babs' swimsuit is seen as yellow but at 3:01 it is purple, and thoughout the rest of the episode once the're on Booty Island, Babs' clothes change from Hawaii styled to the usaul yellow blouse and purple skirt quite a lot.

It's still great though :)

Well the new Pokemon stuff is like it cant be the same because they are new and have a fresh design and that there are some changes, but also the Pokemon tv show is more for kids from around the age 3-13 or similar. Pokemon still remains the "same" and its better for the children to watch Pokemon than Chowder...

Furthermore, the females who have been with Ash ever since Misty's departure have felt a bit bland when compared to Misty', given how her relationship with Ash helped solidify the original trio during the franchise's peak (the core seasons were its best, with Pokemon Yellow serving to prove as such, as it was based on the anime, thus why it is the only classic game to not get a revival).
