@ffinvest yes some water got in but not too much. it mainly came in through the heater, that noise you can hear is the water hitting the heater motor.
Have you ever had your rover die on you during a water crossing. Friend of mine's died as soon as he went in. But started right back up like the water hit some safety switch. Any ideas? Nice job though!
Diesel or Petrol? if it was petrol then water on the distributer would cause it do cut out under water. also wading plugs are a must for deep water. in this video mine did slow down a bit, i think it might have been because the water was hitting the viscous fan
Its gas. I'm in the states, not a lot of offroad diesels...only diesel pick-ups. Sad day, but if it got on the distributer caps wouldn't it take a while to dry it off? When he went to turn it back on it didn't even hesitate.
yeah it would probably missfire if the distributer was wet. does it have a snorkel and extended breathers or wade plugs? manual or auto because it could have just needed a bit more gas and he just stalled it. I use to have a range rover classic 4.2 v8 that didn't have a snorkel on and i went under the same bridge when it was a bit shallower with no problems.
Could you please tell me if water got into the car? Do not lie please! :)

Nice video, awesome disco!

Thanks, does sound a bit dodgy. I'd forgotten to switch the heater fan off and it was trying to suck in the water.
