I had this and Soul Music on video! Whilst the animation was a bit wooden and some of the character designs bugged me, it was still a pitch perfect adaptation and it had a gorgeous soundtrack. I'd say this is probably one of my favourite theme tunes of all time. The full length version is on the Soul Music soundtrack album.

I'm not a fan of Discworld, or rather... I just haven't had a chance to give them a go. I do recall playing the adventure game one time! But anyways!

This intro, and it's music, is completely burned into my memory thanks to a single very sleepless night in my childhood. There was nothing else on TV but a marathon of episodes of Discworld. I remember being astounded by the CGI, but I wasn't really able to follow the story... something about Death not understanding why people forget things.

I remember this show as a kid and thinking it was stupid and only watching it because it was the only cartoon still on by the time I got home from school. It's strange because now, as an adult I'm reading the Discworld books and loving them!

I love discworld...games, books, cartoons and hogfather...all amazing!! The music is perfect for it too!! I also love the song 'a wizards staff' hehe!!

you loved the game? Well i suggest that you read one of the book, I love them. If you have not read any before, I would suggest starting with the first: The Colour of Magic :)

Ah, but could you have done better with 1997's comercially available 3d animation programs, just as a frame of reference. Not sure if you're reffering to todays programs, which can be superior.

Oh and post it up on Youtube when you're done.

Check out Hogfather Intro. The Great Atuin is much better rendered.....but the music isnt as snappy and fun.
