I think that Assault rifle is about the right size, I wouldn't make it smaller. That's just my opinion tho. If you did do a tutorial, would you do one for making the knee cap and thigh parts starting from the cutting stage on? That would be so helpful, since I have used Card stock, and have been looking for how/where to start with Cardboard and duck tape. Plus, Cardboard and duck-tape seem more durable and may hold up better for Resin and Fiberglass than Card stock + Glue. Thanks so much!!

thats a terrible Idea, go to the 405th, just google it, and on their site they have a whole bunch of ways to make halo armor, odst, master cheif, Mark IV, and even non halo related armor like iron man. They also have a video on why you shouldnt play airsoft or paintball in these suits...
