nothing like getting a seat behind a pole during my dad's day or finding a dead rat in the penalty box.
Hey, they dud the right thing renaming it the Garden I waited a long time for it to happen.
They still pretty much rebuil it at the original site 150 Causeway St. You can still get access from North Station. Let's hope to raise the cup this year!
Wow the sport world just disrespects and doesn't care for history. The Fleet Center can never claime that Bobby Orr played there. Can never claim that Larry Bird, Bob Cousy, or Bill Russell played there. I guess soon you will say good bye to Fenway Park!
Fenway wont go, too much money has been put into renovations lately, its up to par with modern stadiums, they have no need for a new stadium. However the Old garden there was a HUGE need for a new stadium, it had no A/C crappy lockers, rodents, etc... I bet it was sad to see it go, I can't say anything since I never experienced it, but from what I have read if just had to many problems. However Fenway is perasonal to me, if it ever goes I will be pissed, but I doubt they will demlolish it soon.

What a pity to destroy such a glorius place. The bostonians would have to stand out against the demolition. The Garden could have been the best sport museum in the world.
I remember when they were tearing it down me and my buddies would drive down there almost every night trying to get a brick but there was usually cops or security, but luckily one night we slipped in the construction site and grabbed some bricks. Me being greedy grabbed a chunk of five bricks stuck together.

Bigger doesn't always mean better. And Zdeno Chara and Kessel couldn't hold Bobby Orr's jock strap....

The Demolition of The Boston Garden began in April 1998. I went there with my video camera when it was 1/3 torn down.
