  • My Dad is the NLVFD Battalion Chief, so it's enjoyable getting to see what he's been doing for the past years.

  • what fire station is this like where are they from?

  • Very nice job

  • where is this

  • what brand is your turnout gear?

  • @trishtrish101 Globe G Extreme

  • Good job guys.

  • I'm 17 in my fire fighter 2 training. my record, Scottpack and bunker gear , is 53 seconds, nice job

  • Nice work guys :)

  • Do you guys really keep your face piece in your pockets like that or was that just for challenge?

  • @pcfd20 I keep my mask in my pocket like that, but several other keep theirs in a separate bag

  • @MashPotatoJonson thats so weird. we keep ours in the rig where your seat is

  • you guys need some traditional leathers. 1980 n5a would work just fine=]

  • @MashPotatoJonson i do the same thing with my mask and good time on getting your gear on

  • not saying my way is better or anything, just throwing my ideas out there but what i like to do is the face peice first then the hood then pants and everything else ....just feel it works quicker, but thats jusst me

  • Great job guys! The only thing I saw was not checking the gauges to make sure they matched. But this was just for fun anyways. :)

  • good job, this is just under what we get off the racks, lol im in an academy right now, some days our instructor will come in and look at us, and just say; "guess what? ALARM" and start the watch hahaha, its a blast but gotta make it slower and steadier when donning for a real call, but good work guys =]

  • @cusano120 that sounds like turning the tables and to get a good laghf

  • @FIREFIGTER301 yeaaaa sometimes we would just hop over the tables in class just for the fun of it lol, our tables are set up in a U shape so if your on the opposite sdide, ur screwed haha. but we are out of the fire academy now and into our EMT portion, everyone who was in our academy managed to get their 240

  • @cusano120 sound like of like what would happen around our stations if its in our way move it , go around it, or just over it

  • @FIREFIGTER301 exactly lol but still gotta be safe on a real call

  • good job! you guys are the first ive seen on youtube that checks for a seal

  • great job!

  • where are this guys from? what fire department from what county ?

  • ... the point of this is?

Usually your getting dressed in the rig, or your already partly dressed before entering the rig. In addition to that your not going to "race" to get your scba on before you enter a house. Your going to check your seal, and make sure your fully covered so you don't get burned. Speed is one thing, being smart is another. Both don't mix. Steady, and Smart match. Just like you DON'T run to the rig.

  • @garf1eld029 The point is just a friendly gear race. Most likely to see who is going to buy ice cream for the shift. Anyone with a brain knows this isn't real world training...but thanks for pointing out the obvious!

  • @8200captain Your welcome asshole

  • @garf1eld029 In the time we spent doing the gear race I learned that smooth is fast and methodical is smooth, if you look at the video you will see that seals were checked and not a step was missed, the only thing we didn't do on the video was buddy checks. However it should be obvious why we didn't do them in this case.

It was good practice and fun, I'm truly sorry you have a problem with that. Have a nice day.

  • Good job!

  • nice one my brother's, we do this at my station to but wit a differers, lol i get my crew together and we all do it at the same time but the last one or wit the slow time buys pizza for the shift and it a crew of 15, it a good think to try we u guy, i got one of my rookies down to 59 seconds and he was at 2.03 but anyways god bless u guys and your station

  • Were is this department i love their PPE looks like a nice dept.

  • Ur suppose to do the waist straps first then the shoulder straps. That's how my department does it

  • check out video! got 32 seconds

  • our scbas are built into the seats so we just put our bunker pants and coat, hood on and we put our scbas on en route.

  • very nice. i see alot of vidoes on here about putting on ur turn outs and a scba. i only see one problem with all these vidoes. does everyone on ur department keep there gear and scba layed out on the floor like that, or do you hang it up on the racks. i say one should pratice the way ur gona do it when a call comes in. no short cuts. just saying.

  • @JETT9949 Actually I do keep my gear right next to the rig laid out just like that, the only difference is that I get my pack on en-route to the call. However the competition of my capt. and I is more fun when you can see him out of the corner of your eye.

  • @JETT9949 ya thats fine in all but i am a Jr. in a Vol. company and we have our SCBA's on the trucks in the seats so that kind of does not work here

  • @JETT9949 AGREE

  • The guy on the right had him beat from the start, but both did a great job!!!

  • Damm those guys are fast, I do not own that time here in Denmark...

  • Umm those are rescue gloves you need structure gloves

  • @michiganh8r943

They are structure gloves. Blaze Firefighter EXT (NFPA 1971 Compliant).

  • @michiganh8r943

They are structure gloves. Blaze Fighter EXT (NFPA 1971 compliant).

  • it would be faster if you invented a belt that u just press a button and it all forms around u like in 3 seconds..

  • @taylord1 : yea cause thats gonna happen

  • guy on right did it in :56. danggg. nice job props.

  • Good job guys.

  • I have to ask that is it possible to live in mars with those like for a minutes or something? :D

  • Nope. Your blood would boil. You need an entire pressure suit (space suit or EMU)

  • wow good job guys..
