I dont get this " good vs evil" thought what everybody have, most of the axis soldiers fight for that what they belive in, they didnt think that it was bad or evil. Ok, some of the things that axis did wasnt good, but still allied did this almost same things to axis nations.
"For Freedom" is EXTREMELY misleading. World War 2 was not a simple case of good vs evil, let's not forget that the Soviet Union contributed the most to the Third Reichs downfall and they were Communists which stripped hundreds of millions of people of their freedom for almost 50 years.
Also remember that Britain was heavily involved with naval battles towards the end of the war, along with air raids and bombing missions. Due to the German navy and air force becoming far less of a threat so Britain could move a significant force into the area by 1944, which it couldn't do before due to being overstretched.

I know the USA did do most of the work against the Japs but you said the British gave up fighting them which is totally not true. @TheMarineRecon Statistically, yes the USA was no longer in depression at the outbreak of war in 1939, but they still had the effects of it, and so did Britain. Britain had to fight a war quickly and with little time to recover, the USA had 3 years before they even joined. In this time they traded with countries like Britain and France. Basically the USA had 3 years of stable economic growth before joining the war while Britain had it's factories bombed and it's money spent.

Canada didnt tecknackly take part in Normandy we were part of a different invason, at Dieppe we lost that fight but the allies used what they new from Dieppe in their attack plans for Normandy

But if America did not even send any supply’s to Britain, I believe Britain would eventually have fallen, probably because of starvation and not military means. Once Britain was out the way, the Germans would have been free to defeat the Russians.

And yes, the whole world would have fallen if the usa hadn't joined the war, but my point is, it would have fallen if Russia or Britain hadn't entered when they did. To win it required all three powers. If it was just the usa vs. Germany the usa would have lost, just as if it was just Britain vs. Germany.

"For Freedom" is EXTREMELY misleading. World War 2 was not a simple case of good vs evil, let's not forget that the Soviet Union contributed the most to the Third Reichs downfall and they were Communists which stripped hundreds of millions of people of their freedom for almost 50 years.

Also remember that Britain was heavily involved with naval battles towards the end of the war, along with air raids and bombing missions. Due to the German navy and air force becoming far less of a threat so Britain could move a significant force into the area by 1944, which it couldn't do before due to being overstretched.

I know the USA did do most of the work against the Japs but you said the British gave up fighting them which is totally not true. Besides I think the war in Burma was one of those great forgotten British victories, we were outnumbered 2 to 1 and according to wikipedia "The attempted invasion of India was the largest defeat to that date in Japanese history"

@TheMarineRecon Statistically, yes the USA was no longer in depression at the outbreak of war in 1939, but they still had the effects of it, and so did Britain. Britain had to fight a war quickly and with little time to recover, the USA had 3 years before they even joined. In this time they traded with countries like Britain and France. Basically the USA had 3 years of stable economic growth before joining the war while Britain had it's factories bombed and it's money spent.

Im sorry but this video is full of bullshit. Fought for freedom? When war ended Soviet union kept Poland,Baltic Countries and many other to itself, did these countries get their freedom? Finland and baltic countries was brutally attacked by Soviet Union, Finland managed to defend itself but baltic countries couldnt. You did only mention the allies in this video. Poland,Finland,Romania,Croatia,Hungary,Greece,Italy,Norway,Denmark,Japan and Germany fought in WW2 too. Delete this video.

Canada didnt tecknackly take part in Normandy we were part of a different invason, at Dieppe we lost that fight but the allies used what they new from Dieppe in their attack plans for Normandy
PS we lost because some1 tipped of the Germans so they had time to get ready for the attack

@strongman325 Well if they were still there, and didn't enter the war yes the allies still would have won but the war would have gone on allot longer and Australia probably would have been invaded by the Japanese and God knows what would have happened. But if America did not even send any supply’s to Britain, I believe Britain would eventually have fallen, probably because of starvation and not military means. Once Britain was out the way, the Germans would have been free to defeat the Russians.

And yes, the whole world would have fallen if the usa hadn't joined the war, but my point is, it would have fallen if Russia or Britain hadn't entered when they did. To win it required all three powers. If it was just the usa vs. Germany the usa would have lost, just as if it was just Britain vs. Germany.

@BenBowers13 I think the Germans had a total defence force (including navy and air force) of about 18 million, and had been preparing for war since 1933, they were well experienced and disciplined and in 1939 they had better quality tanks, and aircraft. I know later on the Americans Japanese ex. developed superior air power but in 1939 the British were the only ones that had an aircraft that could mach a Me-109.
