I'm a sucker for maple fretboards on shred guitars, but they're not as common as ebony or rosewood, which is a shame. Because of that, I'd say it sounds prety great too!

theyre all great,depends on what tone you want to have,ibanez have a more narrow tone more of a flattend tone but or awesome for freaks and yells etc,and dean gibson esp jacksons have more attack or what ever,its what you prefer to each it's own and we all ernt profeesionals to test them all out or buy them piece by piece,at least i don't have the money to say i want that ibanez iceman.i dislike some fenders but im not saying they suck i would play with them if they where the only ones.

I can safely say that Dean has no versatility in their tone. Esp on the other hand does. Dean has some sick guitars, and I"ve enjoyed the few that I've played. The only complaint I have, is the tone. At first I thought it was just me and the amps i was using, but looking at guitar players like Dave Mustaine, Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Moore now, they have such horrid tone with Dean. Not so much Dime or Vinnie, but Mustaine has some of the worst guitar tonality ever. I'll take ESP over Dean.
