What a pleasant set of sentiments the young lad's showing, not least the influence of his mum. I hope he knows at least some Tibetan, since in my own eyes language is always at the heart of culture. Anyway, the concept of 'sport as politics' is bull; it's more like 'self-interest' and 'convenience', under which lies trade and most of all money (the nation's coffers).
