This simple but effictive sling support for arm is real First -Aid.
My 1938 copy of The St.John Ambulance Association book read's;
The First-Aider's responsibilities end as soon as medical aid is available; but he should stand by after making his report to the doctor in case he can be of further assistance.
I was told not to tie the knot at the sholder, because when the arm is resting in the sling,, iit pulls the knot down and can actuly push a pressure point.. thats what i was told:P not sure if you all were told anything like this? im not sure if its right either
omg my dad was crap at this!! my mum dislocated her arm,and he tried to make her a sling, so practiced on me. he claimed he couldn't do it coz IM TOO SMALL. its not my fault im only 13! and what if mum was a midget? then what would he do?! lol!
Nice, simple and to the point. No extra jargon and no waffle about why. This guy can teach me anyday.
