Lol sounds like he is flying a jet airplane. Damn am I the only one who LOVES that sound of the diesels' turbo whistle? Hearing it whistle means that truck means business.
dosen't matter the brand, so long as it is speced correctly, all can move massive loads. If you doubt me check out Mammoet or SCG Johnson Heavy Haulage in Europe, and we all know that you don't move loads like that in the States, because your roads and bridges will not take the loads that European and Australian roads and bridges will take. Anyway nice cat and jake. Regards Dave.

ok deereman6030 you keep dreaming and when you grow into a big boy perhaps daddy will let you steer his piece of shit wanky yanky tractor. until then shut the fuck up and let the big boys do their work. Dick!
@evenbiggerstuff I'm an Aussie and when it comes to Road Trains they're practically all American Kenworths, Macks or Western Stars with Detroits, Cummins or Cat engines.
Practically never do you see a european heap of shit like an Iveco or Renault or Benz Actros hauling road trains because they're completely incapable of hauling anything bigger than a simple semi trailer. Everyone here knows they're a gutless piece of shit which is why no one buys them.
How the fuck do you yanks put up with twelve hours of that hideous fucking noise, how come your ears don't bleed after half an hour of driving the gutless pieces of shit. Surely it would quicker to get out and pull that fucking farm trailor yourself. Try something European, after all most of your heaps of crap truck makers are owned by European companies!
Well i'm an Aussie and an American Iron fan (Cummins and Cat) and I own two Kennys, but don't knock the so called ugly Scannia's because down under many hundreds use scanias for on highway and heavy haulage work, and you Americans don't haul the massive weights that we regularly do. If you doubt this do the research.
@tannerair no doubt that when it comes to HEAVY haul, you australians are in a class all by yourselves. head & shoulders above the rest!!! very impressive!!!
Im just gona say that Americans don't use European trucks like scanias's and Europeans don't use American petes or kw's or freightliners. So i hope everyone gets that...
@SeiskaTie anything past a hammer aint over-complicated for us rednecks, i might be taking an english class over again, but i bet i know more about technology than you, i could probably also work more tools than you, and if youre gonna play the redneck card, then you can go suck a fat dick, cause there aint shit wrong w/ rednecks, youre just jealous that you dont know how to have a good time, or hammer a nail
Thank you for posting this video. I don't know why it was made but it sure brought back good memories. I'm a Desert Storm veteran and an ol' refer hauler (runincool) from the pacific northwest that's seen better days (living on SSD) and this video allows me a few minutes to "quietly" reflect. Many thanks. Hope to see more like this one.
love to hear that kitty cat purr. I hope the enforcement isnt as ridiculous as it is in australia now, went for my rigid licence after growing up around trucks and those mongs put me off joining an industry that keeps the country going.
@tankerxjy Scanias 16.4 litre V8 will put out 730hp and 3500Nm of torque at 1000-1350 rpm. So I´d think that´s the end of this discussion. American movie trucks are just for show but no go.
@SeiskaTie Get the F*ck off my page if your gonna talk stupid shit like that!!!!!! That C-15 is capable of way more than your Scania piece of shit!!!!!! Besides a C-15 is a 14.8 liter, if you want to talk apples to apples, lets talk the C-16!!!!!! You Stupid F*ck!!!!!!!
@poldrag08 Ok let's talk about C-16 it will put out 600hp and 2050Nm of torque. It is 38hp/litre and 129,7Nm/litre. Same numbers to Scania's V8 are 44,5 hp/litre and 213Nm/litre. You can talk apples all you want I talk diesel engines. I quess all CAT is good enough is haulin apples maybe one or two at a time. By the way Scanias 12,7 litre 6 cylinder in-line engine put out 37,7hp/litre and 196Nm/litre and that is 2 litres smaller engine then C-15.
@SeiskaTie why does it matter whos is better? i mean really you do realise you make europeans out to be snotnosed little pricks who like to look at numbers on paper. its not all about hp but reliability. how many scanias do you see that are over 10 yrs driving daily? yet every day i see american rigs with over 1 million miles. oh and if scania is such a powerhouse then why does the aussies use the scania oh thats right because they BLOW UP. dont believe me just google it
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You have some fiberglass boat on and on that slight climb you have to constantly shift down. Haha those american trucks can't pull a shit. All show but no go. A Scania with V8 would leave that pile of shit behind in no time.
@SeiskaTie Yeah bring one of those POS Scania's over here and lets see how good you pull against these AMERICAN trucks!!!! Garauntee you'll be the one getting your a&& kicked!!!!! If those Scania's are so bad a&&, then why aren't they over here in America?!! Fact is they aren't that great!!! Look at those AUSSIE's, I don't see a Scania under their hood!!! All I see is Yellow!!!!! Now go find the nearest corner and go rebuild your feelings!!!!!
@poldrag08 I'd like too see a POS Scania pull two John Deere STS Combines from state-to-state. The biggest country in Europe is the size of Montana, so those damn Europeans have no room to talk.
@poldrag08 Well said, I've driven rigs all over the world and Cats and Cummins rule, I ran a Scania once, it was a fussy little bitch! If they ever get into U.S.A, don't buy one. They're over teched crap like all the euro trucks nowadays. Lovely vid, love the noise!
@poldrag08 yes, you are right, SCANIA is maybe good for europe, but not for US or Australia because, I think that here in europe we only play, but not work. it is because here are idiots in goverments, and they want only money from us, they don´t need carry goods. when we start working, we will need carry two or more trailers and also we´ll need trucks like you have in america :)
@poldrag08 im not fan of scania at all because it is a shitt truck to drive, BUT all americans are not better eather..... so put it where sun newer shines....boy !
@poldrag08 To be fair, You see shitloads of European trucks in Australia now.. Alot of companies have started going for them because they are cheaper to run, use less fuel, are more comfortable and pull better than most American trucks..
Dont get me wrong, I love both of them and yours is pretty amazing however I would rather a Scania.
@jaidenworth You are right jaidenworth.., on coast work between metro centers, but you still see very very few at all on the real work out in the desert as Road Trains, that is still very much a place for Yankee Iron only, here in NZ we have both short term lease Scania's & company owned KW's in our fleet and I have to say that our new cabover KW's are very smooth and very very quiet.., that gap has well and truly closed up now...
@poldrag08 not gunna lie when i moved to Germany for a year i drove a Scania they actually haul really nice i was impressed but mine had an International engine
@poldrag08 My opinion on that is, I've been going on Scania for quite some years and those engines are really good. They have an awesome power development curve but they might not be the right type of engines for the American drive style, you're not used to shifting up at 1400 rpm and the transmissions are not layed out far it, but I must say, I really liked Scania Engines
@poldrag08 You have no idea what you are talking about, any European truck with the same amount of horse power as an american one would rape it and use half the fuel! Trust me you yanks are so far behind!
@SeiskaTie Yea but Im pretty sure yall in Europe use higher geared trucks like 4:10's and higher compared to like most U.S trucks using 3:73's or something like that because yall have like a 55 or 60 mph top speed limit over there so yall can use higher gears to suit your lower speeds, in the U.S we go like 70 and a lot of truckers go faster than that. So they would need lower gears which puts less torque to the ground. idk just my 2 cents.
@SeiskaTie mate ive how scanias v8s and the go alright but i haven't seen one haul a roadtrain yet, but i've seen a C12 cat haul a triple so where do scania's stand, against a 6cyl 12l force fed motor no where
@SeiskaTie I dunno ... I count him doing about 100km/h, presumably in top gear... then hitting a steeper grade and having to shift down, once. Then back up to top, and a single downshift once more, as the road undulates. Probably at better than 85k for the whole duration. Passing other trucks like they're standing still, and not being hugely embarassed by the cars. And eventually ending up at ~2500ft elevation, or 760m, which is no mean climb from the ~180m of Vantage about 15km away.
@SeiskaTie No it won't! LOL @ you, wtf do you know? Your hairy ass mother or sweet little daddy must have taught you how to drive, pity nobody ever taught you to talk you silly little boy.
@SeiskaTie I would love to see your "awesome" Scandia out pull and 625 Cat. My old 565 Cummins Pete would eat any Scandia and shit it out. Guaranteed with the same load as in this vid, your Scandia would die before reaching the top.
@SeiskaTie Mate I can tell you that here in NewZealand we have both American and also Euro available to us and it is a known fact that if you are looking for a long term option in the bush on logs you ALWAYS go for the American Iron namely Kenworth and if you are looking for a short term lease option under service contract you go for Euro options, that is no sh1t, we have heard many stories of problems with the new 480 that even Scania have lost a lot of confidence in selling them...

The new cats suck with all the EPA pollution bullshit on them they aint like they used to be. Id love to get into a Pete or KW with a C 15 3406 or 550 straight piped an haul like this man Keep on Truckin
@allispuller1952 my dads got a c-15 cat n its serial number is XYZ. it came from a bloody good batch. it has't been rebulit yet it got 1.5 millon kilometers on it thats about 1.3 millon miles
@MoDzSeNdA I've never heared of an "XYZ" serial mumber. But my dads is a 6nz serial number and it's got 1.4 million on it ner rebuit it, never even had the pan off of it. The 6nz's are by far the best out of the bunch. A "2ws" or an "mbn' c-15 can be converted to a 6nz via cam, injectors, ecm, etc..
gotta love a Kenworth :) i love the T600-T800-W900-W900ls :) and w900a's :) and gotta love that 550 and jake brake man your fucking leaveing them other trucks behide lol. Grate vid man 5/5
the few times you shift while u are climbing the hill are u just using the splitter??? otherwise thats some really good and smooth shifting with the stick...really good video
Had this exact same engine in my old international. Didn't like, most of my pays were spent fixing it and paying for fuel. It was way too loud too, I like loud trucks and the sound of a 550 CAT but it gets really irritating after driving for a few hours. 3406E is my favorite cat engine in terms of reliability.
@MattytheDem I'd just need to beef up the frame, suspension, and bearings. But I've secided on a much cheaper and easier to find Small Cam Cummins. Thanks though!
And is this the Twin turbo ACERT crap? dad drove a 99 KW T800 with a 3406E with dual 5" straight pipes. Then he got a 96 Peterbilt with N14 cummins and the guy driving the T800 but the muffler back on and lost 20% fuel mileage and it sounded like shit
The pipes sound nice but for being an OTR driver I would guess they get boring after awhile.
My old cars rear end howled a lot, it would be fine if you turn up the radio but sometimes you didnt want the radio up loud. At about 85 though the exhaust was just loud enough to drown out the howl but not be to loud that the exhaust is then annoying.
Lol sounds like he is flying a jet airplane. Damn am I the only one who LOVES that sound of the diesels' turbo whistle? Hearing it whistle means that truck means business.

Nice sounding pipes,
yea nothen wrong with his shifting, he just has his own technique, some drivers are smooth, some rough, some fast, some slow,
when you can shift and not jerk the U-Joints off the drive shaft, then your doing fine...
and if you learn how to shift by double clutching then clearly you learn from a school and not from hands on experience....but either way its all good

@SeiskaTie scania sucks man. sorry. he was most likely downshifting to slow it down for the downside of the hill.

@SeiskaTie Pull a shit?
How's about you get some writting skills before posting.
xXJoshuaDXx 1 month ago
You have some fiberglass boat on and on that slight climb you have to constantly shift down. Haha those american trucks can't pull a shit. All show but no go. A Scania with V8 would leave that pile of shit behind in no time.

6nz or 2ws serial number?
allispuller1952 1 year ago
@allispuller1952 my dads got a c-15 cat n its serial number is XYZ. it came from a bloody good batch. it has't been rebulit yet it got 1.5 millon kilometers on it thats about 1.3 millon miles
MoDzSeNdA 1 year ago
@MoDzSeNdA I've never heared of an "XYZ" serial mumber. But my dads is a 6nz serial number and it's got 1.4 million on it ner rebuit it, never even had the pan off of it. The 6nz's are by far the best out of the bunch. A "2ws" or an "mbn' c-15 can be converted to a 6nz via cam, injectors, ecm, etc..

What kind of mpg do you get running with no trailer? I was thinking about dropping one of the bad boys in my F250.
ArcticRenegade 1 year ago
@ArcticRenegade the c15 alone weighs 3000 pounds i doubt that an f250 could take that kind of weight on its nose
MattytheDem 1 year ago
@MattytheDem I'd just need to beef up the frame, suspension, and bearings. But I've secided on a much cheaper and easier to find Small Cam Cummins. Thanks though!
ArcticRenegade 1 year ago
Awesome video, if you have a chance load more videos like this on the cabin. i love the whistle of the turbo, the CAT-15 is a powerfull machine.

Hotrodx199 2 years ago
@Hotrodx199 No this is still the C-15, not the Bridge motor and not the Acert, this is the ol single turbo motor, the best on Cat made in my opinion
