I have an old dimensions dell 3000 pc, PCI slots only so I will buy this graphics card. But I don,t really see the point of playing games like Fallout 3, or Call of duty on it. Because I might as will buy an x-box 360 if I want to do that. Then I can have max settings and no problems. Anyone wanting to play games like this should really be looking at PCI express compatible motherboards.

I've found one, but im wondering: how do you put an os on a computer that doesn't have one in the first place? Also, does the nVidia GeForce 8400GS 512MB video card work well for gaming? Like for most current games out there (fallout, world at war, etc.)? THANK YOU
@wiisrock87 The nVidia GeForce is not really a gaming card. But It can still handle it and it's reliable. And the OS problem is that you need to insert the OS cd into your cd drive and it'll ask you ''Press any button to boot CD'' and then carry on from there.

I don't think the PCI slot will allow of that.
It's not the computer thats the problem it's the PCI slot on the motherboard thats ancient.
PCI is as old as the hills.
PCI-E is todays standard for all gaming.
I will just use the Dell computer for the internet, downloading and old school games.
I've actually arranged to have a custom pc built next week.
It's gonna be a beast.
